Hello folks, My favorite car is the Ferrari Enzo. I absolutely love everything about them-EXCEPT their ability to hide from me. I was recently looking through the 2005-2009 archives of a fellow Los Angeles-based car photographer and realized that I've only seen one Enzo cruising around LA in the past 3 years. This photographer had many photos of many different Enzos around LA, from the occasional Enzo spotted around Beverly Hills to the Enzo spotted in Malibu. In fact, he captured TWO yellow Enzos in one photo, at the Malibu car wash. My question is, where did all these Enzos go!?!?! I know for a fact that there's a healthy amount of these beasts around the Los Angeles area, and I do know how a yellow one vanished (RIP), but where did the rest go? All help is appreciated and thanks a bunch, Drake
There's a red one and silver one at F of Newport. As to personally owned ones, I don't know of any. I have only seen 1 enzo in the wild driving near the Beverly Center.
For the most part they're in private collections and the owners don't want to drive them except on rare occasions or not at all.
Thanks for the info guys. It's interesting to see that a couple SoCal Enzo owners are members here, and if you guys go out for a drive, do let me know Where might this be?
That's what I feared to hear... Now it looks like (here at least) Enzos are becoming more of an investment tool than a what Ferrari intended it to be: a car.
There's been a lot shift in activity for a lot of the owners. Of the 2 yellow ones that where spotted at a Malibu car wash (I actually was there riding along that day) one of the owners has since passed away and the other car was sold about a year and a half ago. There is still a red one in Woodland Hills, and there's a silver one around the area too, but as far as getting them out, it usually is on special events. They are around, but given the current economic climate a lot owners have been conservative with their investments, and considering Enzo prices today, it's hard to blame them.
And this is what's killing me. Within one day of this posting, already 8 (more or less) have been pointed out, yet only a couple are driven regularly... And I bet that's only the tip of the iceberg... Anyways, I hope that this thread doesn't come off as a plea for Enzo owners to DD their cars, as it's not what I intended, I simply like to know which cars are in the area and gives me an idea of what to look out for. Thank you all again for your continued information, it really helps.
Drake, those of us who are well connected are not short of seeing Enzo on the road. They come out more often than you think just not posted in public forums.
Damn, I suppose I need to be "connected." They seem to go under the radar in Los Angeles. I'm surprised that I don't see at least cell phone shots on Facebook on the occasion, as I know of people who check the hotspots of LA daily...
You are now simi-connected I will give you a heads-up the next time a certain Black on Black-wheels Enzo plans to make an Irvine C&C run. Probably won't be more than a one day notice .. that's about how the decision is made. Just to be clear ... It is NOT my Enzo (I only wish) G
Awesome, will it be the Rosso Dino one, or possibly yours (judging from your stable)? Huge huge thanks for the tip!
Will bring Rosso Dino(Orange) Enzo and Black/Rosso Dino Veyron. Provided paint code for Ferrari Rosso Dino to Bugatti but color is off somewhat.
Just want to give a HUGE thanks to Gerald for the tip, I caught my first Enzo in quite some time out and around last Saturday with a Bugatti Veyron, first at C&C and then as my dad and I were driving home, I stumbled upon the beasts parked in the Irvine Spectrum, what a coincidence... I love the Enzo and I love the Veyron. But, when placed side by side, the Enzo steals ALL of the attention. Please enjoy these 3 photos I took, hopefully a video will be up soon enough. Huge thanks to Gerald for the tip, I went with DLM and it was one of the craziest days ever! Here's one of my shots of the Enzo leaving C&C! Perfection. by Charlie Davis Photography, on Flickr And a nice little combo shot! Dinosaurs. by Charlie Davis Photography, on Flickr Seeing my first Enzo (besides the one at the run back in September) was amazing, definitely my favorite car! There almost isn't anything better for us photog's/enthusiasts than seeing Enzo's around! Hope to see one this Sunday in Woodland Hills! -Charlie
