    Steve,

They were just pouring a seat mold for one of the drivers. I was out there shooting some video on the track and saw the 458 but it never left the garage. BTW It was great to meet you at the NASA event, looking forward to the next one!

I reduced them sending from my cell phone for times sake so they are pretty grainy. When I get a chance to download them all I will post some bigger pictures. It was a great event with some really special cars. I was driving down a twisty road in the 355 and coming at me was a 30's Alfa with the supercharger screaming! The 512S was my favorite Ferrari. I was suprised that in the flesh, I liked the series II GTO over the 62 car. The AM DB4GT Zagato was awesome as well. A chairs and flairs 246 GTS sold at RM for 363K!

Black 456 with shields today at NOLA Motor; crappy long distance cell phone pic below. I don't recall seeing it before, maybe new in town?

On the way home saw a yellow first gen Viper with the fabric roof on (too nice a day for that roof!) and a black Bentley GT Conti, both on I-10 West thru NO.

I spotted this as I was turning to head in the same direction and I guessed right as to where it was headed, a nearby light industrial area with a couple body shops.

The driver of the flat bed, which says "Car Crushers" on side, told me he bought it as scrap and it was going to be crushed!

I'm sure he saw the shock on my face and I told him there was more value there in parts and I asked what they had in it. He said something to the effect, "no, I'm just joking I'll probably part it out. You wanna buy it for $3000?"

More shock on my face and random mumbling as I tried to piece the deal together in my head.

Finally, the driver put me out of my misery with to the effect, "Oh man, just kidding the car is his and he plans to get it back together."

There was a second guy I hadn't seen on the other side and he was probably laughing at me the whole time.

It was one of those moments where you are both happy and sad at the same time. Happy to hear the car would live but sad to miss out on a Pantera for $3K!

Oh well, hopefully it will stay in the Slidell area until I can scrape together another $2999. :D

Man that skyline is just plain awful. But you certainly redeemed yourself with that gorgeous 911.

Now you can see why Nissan didn't sell the skyline in the U.S. LOL
