This, i've been doing this for the last 2-3 years. racing-underground is gone, but we'll see how racingfor.me does. Lately I've been using other torrent sites to download the races. I really miss ITV broadcasts.

Stickers don't have any kind of impact on data retention on writable DVD's. The quality of the chemical and in particular the standards of manufacture of the company producing DVD-/+R(W) primarily determines data retention. Even then, it's a bit of a crap shoot. Grab a stack of Taiyo Yudens and scribble them out at 2x if you want a chance of seeing that data again in 5 years.

Most of the commonly available DVD-/+R(W) brands should be considered disposable media.

Tell that to a friend of mine who lovingly made DVD labels only to discover that the glue on the stickers negatively affected the DVDs and made them unreadable.

    I'm only using Sharpie.

Fully agreed, which is why I see them more as an intermediary stage to store the data on hard disks.

Either he stuck them on the wrong side, or the discs were unreadable before he put them on. The "sticker" side of the DVD has quite a bit of plastic between it and the recording dye substrate.

Anyhow, enuf of a derail. This year could really turn it around for Arrows.

I have always rooted for every team in one way or another and I'm happy when I see a team progressing. Naturally Ferrari is and will always be my team of choice yet I also support McLaren simply because of their history and I will always support the team that my favorite driver MS drives for.

I have never guessed at who will take pole simply because it is a crap shoot especially at the first race of the season.

I *love* this race - One of the few that's on at a reasonable time here on the left coast.....

Given that we always seem to have folk who miss it, here's the times local (PST, or PDT whichever it is right now....)

    Cheers,
    Ian
