Your home, right? You still have it or has it been sold. I'm totally in left field.

I have to admit, as some may do, it is sometimes very hard to keep track of all these cars. Joe, you do and the miura's too....probably your best asset :)
Guess it's best to occasionally skim through past pages.

I don't think so. I know they aren't on the Quattrovalve.

On my build sheet from the factory, My VIN, Gearbox and Engine numbers are all different from each other.

No this home is an Italian car full-service facility that also doubles up as a storage unit for a great client of mine, a man of (obviously) impeccable taste! Besides the Countach S S1 there are quite a few Ferraris such as the 288 GTO, F40, 599 GTO, Daytona, Boxer... the list goes on.

Hey guys, whatever happened to the White Countach from 8+ years ago in FLA? The one that was a total mess behind the building, lp400s possibly. Blue (?) interior.

This Countach only has 15000 miles as of March 2001. It was involved in a spinning accident, possibly in Texas where it was registered from 1994 (first and only time), and it appears that someone had tried to restore it. Though the engine and transmission in this car are okay, the rest needs a lot of work to the body, mechanical, interior, etc. It was offered for sale on ebay in early March 2001 at $25,000 and then again in August 2001 at $20,000. Car was located in Tarpon Springs , Florida, USA at the time.

Purachsed by David J. Anderson of Jacksonville, Florida, USA who embarked on a restoration with upgrades to some mechanicals. At last contact this project was later sold some years later

What is sad is the buyer bodged the restoration by attempting to do it on a shoestring (allegedly), and ended up parting out a genuine S1(allegedly). So the car that is no more... THE LAST OF 27 SMALL-GAUGE CARS..

Realistic values for these are $100k to $150k US depending on condition. See Countach values thread.

What are the odds of both David J. Anderson and David R. Anderson (me) both owning an LP400S, Series 1 Countach at the same time!

We traded several e-mails. He was trying to do it "right" and spent a ton of money are parts. I never knew more than the fact that he sold it. Too bad.

    Thanks David.
I would have love to have bought that car from him and displayed it in my garage for years until I took care of it.

When we walked into Mario's garage at the 40th, this car stood out as special as it sits. Ex-Kaminski. It was like it was fine just the way it is. This car might be at Wil Degroot getting restored. Motor had already been done when this photo was taken.

Yes uncanny coincidence. Although you say "do it right", I am made to understand that "a restoration with upgrades" as reported on ILR translates to avoiding the outrageous expense of some Countach parts and using some non-original more cost-effective parts.

Nevertheless, he must be applauded for trying.

    Joe,

I remember that picture, but it was in the ad when it was being sold by Chad I believe.

There were a few photos that were flipped horizontally, hence the right hand drive confusion.

That is Brian's car, I almost certain.

I had interest in buying the car. It needed (EVERYTHING) !!!! drivetrain - unknown, electrical was a mess - wires all over the inside, body damage, interior issues, no S1 wheels, and rust. $25,000, was all it took to buy it. The other car, was a much better buy.

I understood, it was sold to someone, who was going to turn it into a street-rod. I do not know, if that is true ?

    Here you go.

Are you certain? With a wing, tinted windows and wiper-blade missing?

I know the car had that wing on it but not sure why or when the mirrors would have been changed.

I do remember the ad because most of the pictures were "as taken" but a few were flipped and that picture was one of them. I remember seeing that but it could be another car.

Again, I'm almost certain... maybe Brian or someone else remembers the same?

    Tony
