This looks like the car to buy. PM me some information when the car is ready.

I never have a problem with a higher mileage car as long as it is kept up properly. They have been some of the best cars I have owned.

Good luck with your purchase and enjoy it as much as the previous owners.

I bought the 80k mile Ferrari it was local to me and such a steal imo. He gave me almost 90k in receipts and 28k recently spent on a new clutch and full engine out service, valves etc... To my suprise it's a Serie Fiorano! #67 :) The previous owner drives his Ferrari's, MY HERO His 348 had 140k miles when he sold it, and his F430 already approaching 30k. Drive your cars!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! Yes, he knew just weak marketing on his part that's how it was missed. I don't think it was as important to him as just driving and enjoying his Fcars, really the way it should be...

You know what I think is really cool. You have not involved your self in any of the high mileage threads, you just did your thing. And it's you that has come out on top with that prize;)
Would you please post up some pictures of the car, Whats the colour combo? I really like the Fiorano F355s.

Thanks for posting this.... I was going to ask exactly the same question but with regard to a 348.

Like the one poster said, I too am always looking for my "exit" - learned that lesson early when I pre-nupped the ex. Some say that's setting yourself up to fail, I say it's self preservation. While I'm not looking for a daily driver, I am looking for something that I'm going to put some miles on annually.

One I'm looking at now appears to have all the service records and good maintenance but it's at 60k miles. If I put 8,000 miles on it a year in 5 years I'm at 100k. At that point I'd think I'm probably "stuck" with the car. but at that point it probably has a new engine anyhow.. :)

That's what I'm trying to weigh as well....

Not sure there is a right or wrong answer. and yes, a PPI is a must.

Make sure you only pay 20g for it at most.

Jerry's right. You get what you pay for. Eventually, the car is going to need some major service that will be more than the value of the car (or just getting a newer one). That's either going to be you or the next guy you sell it to -- or the next guy and so on.

If you want to keep it a long time, get a good high mileage car because you'll save money in getting in purchasing (that you can apply to in a kitty so that IF something goes wrong, you have something to work from) but you won't get much in resale.

If you only want it for a year or so and plan to resell it, then I would go for an easier to resell car.

It all depends on what you are looking for -- low initial purchase cost equals low resale value.
