Anyone bought PSL's in Circuit Of Americas yet?? I bought four in club level Grandstand... Money well spent I hope...
I dont have toomuch faith in Austin. I was excited to start going every year once I heard we finally had F1 here in the states. My excitement is now all but gone now. I tried to book a hotel room only to find everything sold out or room prices quadrupled. Now they are going with PSL. Typical American excess... charge people as you want. I been going to Montreal the past 2 years and this venue is awesome, fun, relaxing and well organized. I doubt Austin will ever be on the same levelas Montreal..just my 2 cents. I could be wrong and hopefully I am.
These mysterious PSL's were offered early March for those who were on waiting list (waiting list opened from 15th Jan to 15th Feb) ..... by a mysterious organization called 'Circuit Of Americas'.. 5000 Dollars per PSL (5500 with credit card) for Club Level and 150 Dollars for a parking if you have minimum 4 PSL's..and two years promise of season tickets at 1295 per piece.. I am two hours away from Austin so it is perfect to buy the PSL good for 15 years.. The race does go to the quick...
I am on the list for PSLs but I am not going to purchase them. Does not make sense for me as an F1 fan. Maybe makes sense for some Corporate entertainers or what not. I just want to see F1 - no real interest in Supercars or MotoGP. If you buy the PSLs, you have to commit to buying tickets for every contracted event for 10-15 years???. I do not think they are selling as much as they say. I will just get tickets when they are offered for sale and go that route. I think they will have stand tickets available - easy. If not, General Admission works. The first year will be a cluster, but, if it happens, the second year should be better. I went to Indy every year. The hotels there did the same thing. One year I had to stay an hour and 20 minutes away. They jacked up the prices too. It is what it is. I have an RV and have already booked a site close to the track for 10 days for less than $300 all in. Hopefully COA will get it together and pull this off. Looking forward to a race that is close to home. my
