    My house is in the middle of a Beech tree Forest..
    There are Nocturnal insects that look like Mothra..small bird Moths..
    I keep a cricket wicket in the garage to swat them with.
    You must keep the doors closed after sunset..
    but the smell is intoxicating!

    Beautiful setting. Cedar was well worth the added cost. Do you find the gravel driveway a pain to maintain? My last house had pea grit, and I spent a lot of my time raking, weeding and don't ask what happens after the snow plow pushes the pebbles into a million little piles.......

    The contractor for the driveway install actually advised against the all pea sized rounded pebbles as if the driveway is not dead straight and flat the car tires will create a berm at the high point of each curve....My driveway extends another 1500 ft past that picture I posted..with curves..He advised I use a 50 / 50 mix of broken flat small rocks and the original pea shapes..we looked at actual houses with driveways made of both...No comparison.
    The broken pebbles were always grey and the look was very commercial...
    needless to say , this beauty comes with an after install maintainance...
    I grab a stogie and a rake once a month and level any berms..
    I must use roundup weed killer early in season and once a month...
    We have had no plow able snow yet, but I am told it fares well with small plows.

    Through all this as you can see...the Look is Fairy tale all the way.
    Would not change it!

    Imagine what a Rosso Corsa colored F car would look like sitting on these saddle stones..
    Its coming, soon.
    A new meaning for Red with Saddle!!!!
