Well, you have the whole world here, for support, the guys doing the 308GTB Group 4 replicas would be good for you to meet!

There is a thread in here ....

They are stripping down North American versions and using all fibreglass replacement bodies. So there's TONS of parts coming off.

Problem is they are in Scandanavia!
Norway, or Denmark or something like that!

RacingBaker ia also a nut, building full race motors under the chandelier of his townhouse....LOL!
I think I would like hanging out with him!

I remember seeing this on ebay. Was considering it as a spare parts car, but don't have any place to store it. Good to see its getting a second chance at life.

    matumorales,

You should take a look through this website. http://www.mat.fi/n_index.php?nav=gallery&gallery=13

They took a 308 and completely striped it to make in to a race car. As far down to the bone your is, it should give you an idea of what is (or should be) beneath the surface. It may be worth contacting these guys to see if they have spare parts since they replace just about everything.

Hello, Jason! Thank you for the offer!! I'll definitely consider bringing something for the project with you in july... but a whole fender would be a little too much, pal!!

What are you coming here for? It'll be winter by that time...

    Daniel,

Is your game plan to get small parts from here and there to piece it back together, or find large chunks like a rear end here and a interior there? Also, are you looking to go back to as original as possible or put newer more available parts on?

At least you don't have to worry about any scratchs/dents while sitting in the container yard. My hats off to you, its going to take a lot of hard work and commitment to bring that one back. I'm rooting for you.

At least for now... my wife would not tolerate "large chunks" at the moment. LOL!

Well, sadly, I still don't know any f-chatter in my area... I guess there might be a couple in Argentina... hopefully I'll get to hear from them sometime soon. ;-)

Thank you guys for the good vibes! This really is an ambitious project, and those positive comments are really a powerful boost for me! I keep showing them to my wife (as a proof that my mental condition is at least considered positive by others, LOL)

Everyone takes them off, for 16"s...but I have Goodyear sonsorship and they get me 14" in the FULDA line from Germany.

The older alloy is very light weight...

And what about the original versus aftermarket? I only ask because I would hate to flood you with parts that you'll never need. An example, I may be able to lay my hands on a set of used front brake calipers, but If you think you want to just get a complete after market kit then the calipers would just be in your way.

You defiantly have a Phoenix project.

    Phoenix, indeed!

In that case you mentioned, for example, I might go with a new aftermarket unit. Bodyparts, accesories, grilles, etc., those would need to be original.
