Glad your back in the saddle Tarek :)
Thanks for the thread (shukran jazilan). It's a heads up for my '07 430 as well.... I'm glad yours turned out ok although the wait must have been frustrating...
Just having a problem with my F430, it was ok for a while but now when I drive it the gear box will jump into neutral. It happens at any speed and in any gear and is really frustrating as I was on the motorway doing 60mph when it last happened. I Have taken it back to the main dealer twice for the same problem and its in there at the moment as they are trying to see what the problem is. I have had the clutch checked for wear and its still got 50% of its life left. Can anyone help with this! Cheers!!..
First, one should address these questions: 1) Does this "jump into N" at 60 mph occur while changing gears, during deceleration, or it suddently drops in N while in gear? 2) Are you driving in manual mode or in automatic while this happens? 3) Are you sure that there is no leak of hydraulic fluid from the F1 system that causes pressure drop? 4) Has the dealer checked the clutch position sensor? 5) Has the dealer checked the gear position sensors? 6) Has the dealer tested or replaced the F1 pump and/or the corresponding relay? 7) Has the dealer checked the F1 hydraulic manifold solenoids? Then, one can move further... Cheers.
What does it mean when it blinks once or twice but doesn't goto neutral? If their is no leak and the fluid is full, what is your opinion...Would relay or motor would be first guess?
Typically, ether the relay or the motor. However, there may be several other problems causing this symptom, which is better to be diagnosed with an SD3 or a similar system. What this blinking means - is that the required pressure in F1 system is not generated fast enough.
I have 11,500 miles or 18+k kilometers on my '07 F430! No problems! Guess I'm lucky, but I drive it often! Sounds like the cars needs to be driven more than 500 miles per year to keep the hydrolics lubricated and functional.
I agree ! I drive my 360F1 spider almost every day! All on days I don't drive my 360F1, I drive my Testarossa 1990. These cars MUST be driven!
Sorry to hear about your troubles Matthew. I had the same problem on my F430 and Scuderia and in both cases the dealer replaced the complete F1 kit which included the F1 pump, actuator,...etc. I would assume that the dealer will first have the system checked on the SD3 and adjust the actuator. If the problem still persists after adjusting the system, they will probably need to check the other components. Good luck.
Tarek, enta masry? Ana Mustafa men Australia! Nice Ferrari man, are you able to enjoy it in the horrible streets of Egypt?
how would you rate the ferrari dealer in egypt? and would you consider getting a different type of supercar in egypt anytime soon?

I have been trying to research issues with the F1 system so as NOT to rule out the F1 in my future F430. I concluded that i want the old school manual gated shifter but being that they are so hard to come by, i thought i would settle for F1. These types of issues make me really want to shy away. I realize this thread is old but do you guys think that most these issues have been resolved? there are lots of '07 F430's F1's out there with decent prices and low miles. Pretty tempting but NOT when one reads a thread like this.
Tared, glad that they solved your problem!!! Could you tell us what parts was changed on this F1 kit? It was only mechanical parts or electrical parts too?? F1 actuator, hydraulic pump, solenoids, sensors, relay, etc? Thanks!
Is this happening on low mileage 430's? I am in the market for a 2005 f430 F1 at just about 20,000 miles.
