At lunch time I went to take a couple of shots of the flare install. Here is a very short video of the progress.

I have been slowly collecting parts and working on the suspension bits. Changing all bushings, bearings, and hardware. I added a thru body front sway bar, Bilstein raised spindle struts with a double knuckle bump steer, rear quick change torsion bar, height adjustable rear spring plates, and adjustable front camber plates.

I'm also working on the engine at the same time at my father's house. As soon as I sealed the case halves, my dad found one of the oil bearing o-rings on the ground. I must have knocked it off while wrestling with one of the case halves. We had to disassemble the halves and clean off all the sealant glue. What a waste of a day.

For the shoes, I had 7" front and 9" rear wheels. I'm having TruDesign in Colorado make me a set of 9 x17 " and 11 x 17" Fuchs wheels. To help calculate the ET required for the new wheels, I bought a BIG a$$ spacer (see pic below).

Gotta long way to go. What makes it worse, I really have know idea what I'm doing!!! I'm just armed with some pics I took along the way, a Porsche manual, and the internet. Oh yeah and my dad's picnic bench which I drilled into to help me press in the rear bearings.

I haven't had too much time to work on the car, but here is a small update. The engine is coming along. I went with a different theme on the cooler fan instead of the typical red, yellow, or silver. The front oil cooler and side hard oil lines are in with help from the wife. Wheels are in and the fitment looks like it's gonna work. Also included are some "before" pics of the engine.

    quite the project...very kool!!

with all the carbon-fiber, it'd be cool to make the sill decals either "Carrera" or "RSR" with 3Ms carbon-fiber look vinyl! :)

Wow haven't checked this in a while. Everything is amazing, especially the carbon engine cover (fan shroud?) I would love to delete the sun roof on my 993 and strip the interior. Very inspiring great work!!
