Love is not strong enough. I WORSHIP the Veyron as well. It's not a car, it's a piece of industrial design art. I think they'll appreciate in price over the coming decades as landmark achievements in terms of conventional internal combustion automotive engineering. It is also possible that they are not equalled in terms of sheer performance for a very long time, what with the way the world is going...

I agree. This car is in a league of its own, as a Bugatti should be!

Nice car, saw around 10 different ones between streets and auto shows. In real flesh looks much better than in pictures.
You may compare it with a Pagani only because of the many editions. For the rest, those are 2 worlds apart.

But as I wrote, for me is just nice, it is a huge technical achievement, an impressive collection of numbers. Nothing else. Would never buy it, of course I´d love to try it.

I simply respect those who worship it, it´s their taste.

Agreed..we have two in our neighborhood the it looks just likes it picture. No one with at least 20/200 visual acuity would call the car beautiful. My best friends cousin had one in Cali and get had a chance to drive it. He said both my old 360 spider and his cousins 430 spider were more enjoyable to drive on public roads.

It can be the fastest car in the world for all i care. I'll take any Ferrari from the 80s onwards. That thing just looks like a Beetle on steroids.

honestly I respect it but its just never really grabbed me like the daytona, testarossa or the countach or any 80's or 90's car did. plus I've heard its pretty much just a luxury car that just so happens can do 240 mph. Not really a sports car in feel per say and I gotta say it does look like its more luxury than sports car.

and thus its never really peaked my interest and honestly it doesnt really feel like it should have the buggati name on it either, it seems like it should have a VW badge on it as thats the group who made it to my knowledge.

I know it's one of the ugliest cars ever, but a well built one at that. I don't care if it existed or not.

Love it, hate it, whatever !
One thing's for sure, it's got nothing to do with Ettore B. or his original factory.
VW simply bought the B. badge from the alleged heirs of B.
So whatever badge they stick on this monstrosity, it will always be a VW.

On another note and not that I see it as you do.

But I never get the same feeling for the Ferraris built after Enzo died, even if he had only minimal part in their production. For me whatever has come after isn't one hundred percent a Ferrari.

At least the cars have the Ferrari pedigree and built in the original Ferrari factory.
    No 'badge engineering' !!

Driven the Grand Sport at the Molsheim factory and around french countryside top down yesterday. Totally blown away by the car's tremendous speed and amount of R&D that went into the car. Will post up pictures soon

I saw a Veyron for the first time at C&C in Scottsdale last year.

    I was just in awe....

It isn't the beautiful thing in the world...but to be in its presence was jaw-dropping just as a respect issue.

It is a technological feat! :)

I wonder what it feels like to stand next to a 250 GTO when it starts up.....

agree. The tech its made with is "neat". But in many States, if you get caught much over +25 over the posted speed limit, you are screwed.

What the hell people do with "super cars" now eludes me.
    There is "fun/fast" and "stupid/fast".
The latter gets you jail time or hurts people.

I think there will be a big backlash coming against fast expensive new cars. Too many have-nots with a entitlement mentality and the laws in many States are making the cars useless to own.

I would rather buy other things, and stay out of the public eye.
