If it was not for the trim I would think it was the jacket Richie Aprile gave to Tony Soprano.

People in the Bronx have been driving around with these on their Hondas/Acuras for years.

Really odd update IMO. They might slightly clean the airflow in that area over the sidepod but I wouldn't expect it to do much.

    Yep, agreed.

It also looks like they've repositioned the exhaust outlet yet again...it seems to point less divergently outwards and more inward and in a more straight on direct path to the rear.

I remember them pointing outwards more in jerez, then upwards after and this now seems like something in between.

F2012 had 3-4 different positions they tried during testing and have indeed run the iteration above pictured during the first two races. I suspect their new sidepods will be developed around this concept of exhaust flow.

Pole is a definite possibility for W03. It's incredibly stable under braking in China while everyone else is really suffering at the end of the main straight.

Nico Rosberg expects more tyre issues for Mercedes in the Chinese Grand Prix
By Thomas Mallett Friday, April 13th 2012, 11:49 GMT - AutoSport

Nico Rosberg says it could take several weeks for the Mercedes to be competitive in race conditions.

Despite strong qualifying performances, Rosberg and team-mate Michael Schumacher have suffered from tyre issues in the first two races of the season and the German expects Mercedes to struggle in China as well.

"The big problem is with the tyres on this track, especially the front tyres, they destroy very easily so you have to be very careful and find a set-up for the car to help that," said Rosberg.

"It is not so easy because in the race we are still having some difficulties, in qualifying we are very good and we will try very hard to improve but it will take some time.

"We can't expect to come here and all of a sudden win the race, it will take some weeks."

Team boss Ross Brawn said Mercedes is concentrating on improving performance for the race.

"Whilst our low fuel runs look good, our primary focus has been on race pace and working to understand the tyres so that we can use them as well as possible on Sunday."

Schumacher set the pace in the afternoon session, with Rosberg down in fifth position

Nico is definitely suffering more than Michael is. Glad to see Vettel is finding peace with the precious exhaust system. That also puts things somewhat to bed regarding just how good still blowing the diff is these days. I don't think it matters much

I was just mixing it up abit with a translator yet it does seem the shoe is on the other foot, atleast for now. I like Nico and will be very happy if/when he gets his first win.

I feel Nico must do this soon or the chorus of those saying he is like Heidfeld will continue to grow.
