Turbo360, to my reading TestShoot said nothing offensive, instead he identified the incident and asked if the driver was OK. Whatever you read into it apparently brings other baggage you have between you and him. Keep that off this thread as it has nothing to do with the incident.

You two need to back off also. Any further use of terms like "POS", "scumbag" or anything else of a like derogatory intent to other users will not be tolerated.

 

I just saw this thread and glad that Frank and the other driver are ok. It does not matter who's at fault here (insurance can handle that part) but rather that on one lost their lives or were injured.

If you take emotion out of the equation, it helps to think and post rationale although this is the internet and a bit of an oxymoron to think that both can coexist on a forum.

I never street race period. Sure I've posted a few videos of me driving through the canyons at what I consider a safe pace for my car and driving experience gained over the years but at no time have I ever boasted about racing..
Unless you are being timed or there is another car involved there is no race period...

(c) A person who flees the scene of the crime after committing a violation of Section 191.5 of, or paragraph (1) of subdivision (c) of Section 192 of the Penal Code, upon conviction of any of those sections, in addition and consecutive to the punishment prescribed, shall be punished by an additional term of imprisonment of five years in the state prison. This additional term shall not be imposed unless the allegation is charged in the accusatory pleading and admitted by the defendant or found to be true by the trier of fact. The court shall not strike a finding that brings a person within the provisions of this subdivision or an allegation made pursuant to this subdivision.

(d) As used in this section, "permanent, serious injury" means the loss or permanent impairment of function of a bodily member or organ.

I'm not sure if Alan S. is a user here or not. But certainly revealing a user's full name when they haven't chosen to do so is a violation. Revealing the full name of a party that isn't a user is a little bit more gray. Certainly we discuss the full name of public figures or people who we buy cars or services from; but they have chosen to make their identities known. Otherwise it is at least a courtesy to protect the privacy of individuals who may not even know they are being discussed in possibly libelous ways. In the latter case, not using their full name is smart practice on the part of the poster.

Can someone confirm if Alan S. (those who saw the full name or know the driver of the Porsche) is a user here or if it was already released as public info via some news item or other site?
