REALLY need to go along for this one day. Seems like endless awesome photo opportunities. Got some shots of you taking off. Unfortunately, I was shooting with a longer shutter speed than I really meant to, so many of them are kind of worthless. This one turned out alright, though. http://desert-motors.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-11578 Shooting with such a long shutter speed with panning is a bit of a double edged sword... I always end up with quite a few worthless shots, but when they do turn out, I like the look. Got down to as slow as 1/30 quite a bit. This was at 1/30 of a second, but the car wasn't moving as fast and I was pretty close, so I didn't get a ton of blur. http://desert-motors.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-11579 Porsche at 1/50: http://desert-motors.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-11577 Fast moving Daytona at 1/40: http://desert-motors.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-11571 And all the other shots I have so far for those that couldn't care less about EXIF data and such, haha. http://www.desert-motors.com/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=301 Still have a LOT of photos to go through. http://desert-motors.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-11579
Came out nice, Ron. Not surprisingly, I ended up with an almost identical shot. Got some kind of ugly glare on mine, though. http://desert-motors.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-11573

My boss Jim Stokes was meant to do the Rally but sadly his mum died so thay had to fly back to the UK.
I heard they were stopping at Bondurant today but by the time I got off work they'd be long gone...such is life
Finally got my Gallery done. I'm not really happy with my pictures - which is part of why I'm late to post this...O'well... http://www.viacorsa.com/news_updates/rally_news/copper041912.html
Nice shots, Ron. Some real cool ones in there. Makes me wish I could make it out there even more... I've wanted to tag along for the rally, or at least hit one or two of the spots, for years now.
