I am not trying to pick the car apart, you have mistaken me. I am asking for clarification as mine are the reverse of yours. Maybe mine are in wrong. Can someone look at the headlights and tell me if they are installed correctly or are they reversed? If they are reversed it is a simple swap around, if they are correct I will switch mine around. Thanks Vic
Along with just trying to help... the "S" is upside down on the back. Still, nothing major and looks like a nice car.
After lurking and trolling around on this Countach thread for over a week now I can quite happily say that the Countach is now my favourite 'it' car for the week. No idea why Ferrari has gone to the back of my mind and has now been replaced by Lamborghini.... Thanks for such pleasant knowledge! (for a 19-20 year old, this is speaking volumes) Michael.
The upside down S is a common phenomena amongst Miuras too. It happens simply because the badges have been removed for paint, repairs, refinishing or detailing, and they are re-mounted upside down. These badges are a PITA to remove what with their tiny bolts and the factory plasticine in place to secure them (!) There are just 2 screws at the very opposite ends of the badge and so its possible to invert it easily using the holes in the rear panel.
You know, the S emblem is a thorn in the side. How many people has it caught off guard! lolol....I had to go to the back of my car this morning to check mine too! Roy is that original paint on the S2? If so, it comes across real nice in those photos. Vic, why refrain, Roy uses this message board to the full extent for advertisng and if we can help........these little things are simple for Roy to sort out and, regardless of his pick apart comment, he's gotta love us for it. Eliminates the customer calling back with these concerns. Some of it is education. He has learned a lot over the last couple of years about the Lambo-oldies.....which he had admitted he was not that familar. Heck, I still learn from you guys quite often....hence the S emblem
Speaking of original paint, its possible I will be bringing an all-original paint LP400S S1, and a fully restored one to the Pebble Beach weekend. I'm not sure there have ever been 2 together anywhere since Steve Dypvik showed his 2 in San Francisco in 1980...
LOL I take it all in stride and DO learn everyday..you guys have NO IDEA the "tire kicker" calls I get each day on these cars..I end up just hanging up a lot HA HA.. The "S' is being corrected as we speak..will get a new pic for you all, the wheels for the rear are the oens that came when I got the car after I searched my warehouse, so I guess those are NOT the born with rear wheels.. The paint is original, with the exception of the rear quarte areas where we removed the DOT side markers and featherd in correct OEM Laquer paint..I would rate the paint for shine at 8 plus, all an all pretty darn good, the roof has some pitting, which is hard to see in the photos, but in person you can see it..the front spoiler has chips, which can be seen in the photos, some minor spider webbing in the right reard fended arch..seems to eb common..all in all IMO very good for 31 year old car..ALSO I will add, all we did is wash it, WE have not polished or waxed or anything..just wanted to leave as is and let the next owner decide. I am sure with a proper good tech and around $600-$1000 they could make this paint look preetty darn NEW again.
I have yet to see a posting other then your "think" it is in-correct..so I guess we dont know as of yet..we have your car your way and this car this way.????
Roy, Fret not. You're headlamps are correct. I just went out and checked mine. The outside lamps are "low beam". Inside lamps are the "high beams". Here is a 25th with the same: http://www.picsearch.com/imageDetail.cgi?id=kAeKDU4knsTXujq0Fb4f1ANmhD3wQBcckEBn1Xug6ck&width=980&start=393&q=Lamborghini%20Countach Mike
Vic its not your fault, RB probably did that. He specialized in back-to-front application. Image Unavailable, Please Login

It seems to have been shot at Edmond Ciclet's premises. His 350 GT appears (?) on some scenes. Thanks a lot for sharing.
