Long gone Im afraid I have a full set of body moulds left though..... Uprated roll bars, hubs converted to stud/nut rather than bolt, fabricated internal panels, adjustable brake balance from within the car, HUGE brakes all round (brake rotors, hubs, pads and lines cost more than my 635BMW at the time - missus not best pleased when that shipment turned up!) Solid suspecsion bushes, modified suspension pickups designed/manufactured to lower car, adjustable shocks (with solid bushes) uprated springs Custom airbox fed from both rear scoops, oil rad in front with stainless lines Custom exhaust with Borla boxes I keep forgetting how much I did on that car until I look at the pics again... Come on GtJunior - lets see some more of yours please It look very much like a car I saw in Bishop Stortford area built by Mark ? was also featured in a mag - think it was called "redline" or something like that ?? Napolis - any chance of an underlings job in your construction shop ? I trained as an aerospace engineer originally and have viewed your creation threads with great interest !!
Neat thread. Very neat. Can you tell us of the engine build specs? HIgh performance 308 builds are sort of a obsession of mine lately.
Hi ferraripilot maybe via pm, not posting - pm me your email addy and I'll wing you a couple of photos and dig around in filesfor what I have on spec -its not much as it all went with car
couple more pics.... hope they are of use, or inspire - just realised this may appear a hijak - very sorry didnt mean to steal any thunder......just wanted to add my 2c to 308 racecar thread.... first pic shows Borla boxes and big bore exhaust - note gap between lid and rear panel to aid cooling flow (number plate is also stood off body and rear panel is perforated behind No plate panel 2nd pics you can just see custom airbox lent against LH wheel - with two feeds into it. Also notice the triangulated chassis points to add rigidity etc - oh, and teh stick to hold up the bodywork - F40 style ha ha 3rd pic shows engine gearbox as collected - bit sorry for itself 4th pic - dont try this at home - "adjusting" roof panel to make flip rear fit into roofline....again notice chassis strengethening webs last - redesigned pickups made - rial fit - -the drawing /sketch for them can also be seen in pic Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
SSSSSSAAAAAAAWWWWWWWEET! Lets see some track pics! Great to see people modifying and racing these great platforms! Cheers!
I think the GT4 really makes a nice racer. With all the flares and big tires make it look like a group4 racing I love it. This is a project I had in mind. In yellow and black. But for street use.
...it's self to a race car naturally. Well balanced to begin with, I can't imagine 100+ more HP, Very good looking too, well done fellas, do these cars look good to me because I'm old? I think so.
