Got the Lusso out this afternoon for the first time. Steve Barney had to walk me through a cold start. Takes a while to warm up but runs great after that and looks really good! Steve and Tom sorted the car for me and did an excellent job. Parts are hard to find. David Carte was a huge help. Many thanks to him. We couldn't have done it without him. With parts in hand Tom was fantastic. Does anyone know a source for racing fuel in the Raleigh area? The old fashion leaded variety would be best.

I know they sell 110 Octane leaded gas up at VIR which is only about 2 hours form here but that really doesn't help in Raleigh.

Got some pictures of that beauty??

Since it is now illegal to sell leaded fuel for on road use.....Call these guys. May be best for you to just buy a 55 gallon drum and keep at the garage. and PS... this fuel is for off road use only right? wink wink

Here is the website link to the types of fuel. They have unleaded, leaded and leaded/oxygenated

I'd have Hank Thomas in W-S deliver to you or check with Sunoco distributors Cary Oil Company or Stallings Bros in Middlesex. The latter is a nice drive out 264!

WOW!!!! Absolutely beautiful car....almost as much a piece of art as a vehicle.

Well worth the wait for the pics!!

Bring it out to C&C in Raleigh if you can.

Fred, that just makes me weak in the knees. I just melt when I see a Lusso, and thankfully this one isn't Rosso Corsa.

I'll just have to make do with driving the 330GTC until I get my hands on one of these beauties (sorry honey, I didn't mean that!). ;)

    Enjoy!

I wonder if this is the same car I looked at at FAF in March 82 when they were still in Tucker Ga. It was $33,000 then and they had $20,000 in the engine. He said it would probably be a hard sell as it didn't have A/C. I was 24 with a Corvette and graduating Dental school so 33,000 may as well been 33 million, but it was gorgeous. I have been in lust ever since.

    Fred,

What a stunning car! I can't wait to see it in person. I hope I can make it to Cars & Coffee in June if you're going to be there. Stay in touch and I hope to see you guys at a few of the Ferrari Club events this year. Take care!
