I'm an indie filmmaker finishing up production on a feature film shot both in LA and Seattle. My buddy let me use his Red Ferrari last year for a scene. Since then he has sold it and we recently realized we still need some standard shots of a similar if not identical Red Ferrari simply driving around a few blocks in Seattle or a nearby city. The driver's face won't be scene so all we would need is for the owner to drive it around a few blocks and we would follow behind in another car and grab the necessary shots.

I've attached a picture of the Ferrari we used in the scene. We would not need it to be the exact year or model. Anything close would suffice. You can reach me by email at [email protected]. Any help is extremely appreciated. Compensation is TBD.

    Thanks!

Welcome but it would be helpful to see the photo or a description of the car (i.e. year, model, colors inside and outside (there are a few shades of "red" used although it probably was Rosso Corsa) and anything unusual, like different wheels) to see if anyone wants to help out.

You can attach one or more photos by scrolling down to the "Manage Attachments" box from your thread posting box, select the photo file using the Browse box, upload it, preview it and finally "Submit".

Exactly. A Mondial would have a hard time passing for a 458, even from a distance.

Yeah, but to the average Joe it didn't matter a bit. It was a fancy red sports car and that was it!! I never noticed that one before to be honest but I haven't seen that movie in years!

LOL. Not to mention the targa top is off, oops it on, no its off again, no its back on...

Same thing happened in Miami Vice with a chase sequence with a white Lamborghini Countach. Part of the time its a 5000S with the USA rear cover over the tail lights, other times it is a 5000QV DD with the euro rear end.

If you watch the Pilot of Magnum PI and the first episode, the used two different 308's. Nothing major, just stickers in different places. And of course the magic top from the intro that just slides off in to oblivion.

I have often wondered why they don't go back over the video to make sure everything matches.

I noticed this as well. Also didn't they use a 360 engine for the noise? Too high pitched for a 550.

Thanks for the responses. For some reason the initial .jpg photo didn't attach to my last post. I've attached a screen shot of the Ferrari used in the scene to this post. Also, you can watch the actual trailer for the film at

Let me know if you can help!

A red 430 should be fairly easy come up with, but the WHEELS are not going to match. The car that you used in the film has unique aftermarket wheels.

Hey Gary, yea I hear you about the wheels but I'm not concerned with that. I'll take what I can get for the scene lol.

I guess that, if the car is constantly in motion, wheels shouldn't be a major issue; might be worthwhile to try and get true single five-spokes, like the 360 stock wheels, rather than the double-spoke 430s.
