I assume not a stock colour then? The silver example next to it looked stunning (to my non expert eyes).
I really liked that car. A few I've spoken to don't like it. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Having said that the 246 really is a gorgeous car and looks stunning in almost any colour.
Made the assumption that if it were you would post the exact colour name etc. I'm going to call it Giallo Pallido
Good, sounds right! I don't know much about Dinos, let alone the colours. You have to remember that most Ferraris up until about the early 1980s were not red. Especially Dinos. Did you see the freshly painted Dino GT up near the MM display? It's in my pics above, that is one of the very few Australian delivered rosso chiaro cars.

Carl, Was that blue 365BB with the tabacco interior repainted by xtremeind? Beautiful car that! Either that or the blue 365 GTB/4 were the most desirable car for me on the day. I liked the blue Dino 246 GTS a lot too. Its amazing just how big and wide the moderns are now. It gives them a lot presence but they lack the elegance compared to the pre-eighties cars. Fioravanti where are you? Just kidding, I guess its impossible to go back given modern legislation and buyers desire.
My wife was shocked at how big the 599 (as an example) was, she didn't like it at all, though the 308/328s and Dinos were much more her style. (Which works for me seeing that's what I would be aiming for down the track) But yes, due to safety, cars only get bigger now.
Well then, when I decide to re-spray my 308 in the next 18 months, I know EXACTLY who to take my car to That car had a seriously fantastic paint job and the shade of blue to my eyes at least was just perfect for THAT car. Words cannot express just how much I loved that car.
Highlight for me was the red Daytona Spyder. Didn't know that there were any genuine ones in Australia and it just looked soooo right. Even the chopped Daytona nearby failed to convey the graceful lines of the genuine article. Made me wonder why anybody would want to chop a coupe when it will never replicate the true beauty of a real spyder? Even the interior was a work of art and showed the modern Ferraris up in the quality stakes. Was most heartening to see that this crown jewel took pride of place at the head of the 'Classic V12' line. Forgot to mention that it is for sale (must be worth at least $1.5 million?) and I am sure IanB won't want to let it slip out of his grasp. Therefore, if he wants the number... Image Unavailable, Please Login
