I have a friend who is selling his 06 vantage, 75k miles, always serviced properly, no accidents. Ive known this car since he bought it.

But hard to figure out what its worth as you just dont see them with this many miles...

    Thoughts ?

I would imagine '06 Vantages with low miles can be had for the low to mid '60's by now. '07's had some important improvements. So one with miles like that you are probably looking at $10-$15k less. Not many Vantages with those miles. But they are dependable well built cars so if you friend has cared for it properly, and a buyer can look past the miles, they well get much more car for the money than new would get them (well, the same performance as many great $50k new cars anyway, but way better looks, quality, and styling).

In the past few months, I've seen various offerings of the '06 A.M. Vantage V8 w/ 35k - 45k miles being generally offered for asking prices of mid to upper ~$50k's. But, of'course there were those who were aspiring for high ~$60k's, which I excluded.

    Off-topic, but related...

How was the maint'/service & replacement/repair costs (namely, what all was done and/or needed, perhaps even deferred). I am very keenly looking forward to seeing what your friend can share. Thanks, in-advance!

Tell him I'll give him $25k, pending PPI :)

The lower mileage cars are about to flood the market at lower overall prices as the design and powerplant mature.
The newer ones already boast around 50hp more with an updated body.

Great car, though. Glad to see they hold up like a "normal" car.

I would think $39k for a quick sale, $45k if he wants to hold out. There is a lot of choice out there. Pricing it $7k less than the lower miles offerings at $52k might persuade someone, $13k definitely should. He can always shop dealers to get an idea and price it a few thousand more than what they offer, and use that to bargain with people, knowing what is the absolute lowest he needs to go.

I have been following the Vantage market closely the last few months, and I think this is pretty solid advice. I have looked at a LOT of these for sale lately, and have not seen one with anything approaching that mileage. I think the highest mileage one I saw was around 40K miles.

He offered it to me for $38k. I have my heart set on a convertible so I turned it down.

Your hair billowing in the wind...I can see why you held out! Heheh!

What was the interior and exterior color scheme? Any pics?

I'm pretty sure that if he offered it here for 38k, it would be sold in a matter of hours. Do us chatters a favor, and allow someone the opportunity to pick it up

I spoke with him and the dealer offered $38k as a trade in on a new one so he doesnt feel its worth the hassle to sell it privately for that. He only offered it to me as we're friends.

I asked him if he would sell it privately if it were for a few grand more and he is thinking about it.

I didnt mean to start a feeding frenzy (Ive a half dozen PMs)

If he is open to a private sale I will let you guys know.

    Its blue on tan
