    That is AWESOME!!!!

    I remember that every year they would give a special car to the winning playmate. But, for it to be an AMX -- that's outstanding.

    Thanks for the Photo..one I had not seen yet. The person that restored this car, after it was found added the Black Stripes, which MOST all "Go Pak" 390 cars came with...but not the Playboy one, as we can see from this added photo..not sure if I will get them re-done or leave them..up in the air about that still..

    There were actualy TWO of these cars Built for Playboy..one was given to here as her Playmate prize and the other one was sent around the country, alot of the time with her at Promotion displays, autograph signing etc etc..you will notice tha Photo I posted is the "Promo car, you will note the different wheels.

    By record there was a total of 4 1968 AMX cars painted in the "Special" Playboy Playmate color..the other two were by "SPecial" order from wealthy customers that placed LATE orders after seeing the original 68 Playboy Playmate car..I can only assume a Wealthy man that had "Eye Candy" on his arm at the time. One was registered in the Las Vegas, NV area..the other went to FLorida.

    On a side note, the 68 Gal is now at age 66 years, currently out on Bond awaiting trial for "attempted Murder" in California..in a Domestic Dispute she shot her long time Boyfriend in the chest Ouchhhhhhhhh

    From what I understand, she owned this car 42 years and sold it in 2010.

    I agree the black stripes appear to be added.

    My neighbor was 1998 playmate of the year. They gave her a Shelby series 1. Only one made with stripes on it I think. She recently sold it at BJ.
