Greetings Ferrari Tifosi ! I'm Glenn from SoCal. Physician 40 yrs old Current fun car: 2004 Porsche 911 40th anniv. #805. Regularly tracked, of course : ) Next fun car: expect to purchase F430 coupe next year! cheers
I've been a member here since 2006 and just came to the realization that I'm more a of lurker than I think I am. Have posted little here and there way after a thread has lost its "freshness" so its kinda like not posting at all! LOL I plan to continue listening in on all the wealth of knowledge that Fchatters bandy about and do plan to be more active. My plans are to own both a 993 C2 and F355 Berlinetta and have been researching for what seems like an eternity now. Currently, the only Italian car in the garage is a charo verde 500c that I just picked up for the wife. Expect to add some sort of Ducati to the stable in the near future. Currently working my butt off to get my clothing line running at full tilt while waiting for hungry patrons to buy some original art that I have hanging on restaurant walls. I'd rather be working on car related stuff. If I didn't "donate" all my money on girlfriends past, I'd be a Ferrari owner already as I've already made friends with a mechanic that can do the engine out service. I've had a fun background in motorsports. In my younger days I used to work the tech/weigh in booth at the local tracks. Got to hang out with the Subaru Canada Rally Team lending them a hand. Learnt a lot about race car prep and the racing industry in general. I consider myself a die hard motorsports fella and would commute to work in a Ralt single seater if I could only. My dream is to own an F40...why not make it an LM or a GTE while I'm still dreaming. I wouldn't commute with it to work 'cause at that stage, I don't need to work! Ha My name is Seth and look forward to getting to know all you Tifosi.
Hello all, my name is Travis and I've been lurking here for a little while, mostly absorbing knowledge of all things F car, mostly 328 and TR specific. I live in the seventh layer of hell (Iowa), and, actually do like it here. As a kid I got bit by the car bug early on. Mostly Detroit iron, but discovered an affinity for european cars the first time I got a look at a Ferrari when I was 6 or so. A neighbors buddy had one and took me around the block in it. I was in lust and have been ever since. Around here it was pretty scarce picking for exotics, save for the occasional 911 Turbo, but that all changed back in the late 80's. Now it is not uncommon to see a 458 cruising the streets. As for me, well I have a 4000 sq foot garage/toyroom. I will be placing a red (maybe black) 328 or TR in hopefully this year. Momma says I can do this, but first I have to thin the herd. The current herd; 87 Mustang GT 347 supercharged, 87 Buick Grand National (for sale) 81 VW Caddy diesel pickup (fun), 2011 VW Jetta TDI street cup edition (Hers) 2007 Silverado 1-ton diesel crew cab (mine) 2011 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (My daily) 65 Shelby Cobra (way fun toy) Suzuki Bergman scooter (good mileage) and Polaris Ranger Crew (farm tractor.) Had I not bought the Shelby I would have my F car. Opportunity knocked and the snake came in... I look forward to learning and hopefully meeting a few of my fellow F car lovers.
Hello, I've been looking at Ferrarichat for 6 months now and actually posted my first thread tonight (Ferrari 328 Values)? I'm 41 and decided it was time to stop dreaming about owning one of these cars (somehow the posters on the wall don't do it for me like they did when I was a teenager -- ha ha). I figured I'd ease into the hobby with a 328 . . . I don't want to get turned off with overly expensive repair bills or have a car I'm too afraid to drive. My dream 328 is a non-ABS GTS (pre-1988.5), painted Grigio, black leather with around 30K miles (not over or under used). I've been told half of the fun is just looking. We'll see. Sean
Name's blackdr and I joined about 08 and have made very few posts since then just because well I'm learning and I dont really know too much about these cars and with the name I was screwing around trying to get a name like Mr. Black or something and I just frankly gave up and put what you see now in (kinda wish I hadnt done that) and with me I'm a 1980's - till the diablo GT lamborghini fan who up until seeing the pilot of Miami Vice wasnt really that interested in ferrari's and the show got me into it and yes I know it was rebodied Vette but its still a cool car nonetheless and I would love to have all three. The Replica spyder that was made by markadian, the same guys who did Rod Stuarts Countach, a real Daytona coupe, testarossa (with some custom work done to better suit my taste if I had the cash) and if its a cool car, its a cool car and I'll look into it and research it as I dont believe in strict brand loyalty as you miss out on so much cool stuff if you focus on one particular brand like I did with Lamborghini until 06' and hell I didnt really seriously look into the miura till I looked into the daytona either which I think is what goaded ferrari into making that gorgeous car
Alex, 37, from Germany. Car enthusiast. Favourite Ferraris are the open Colombo 250's street (California, PF) TBH I decided to sign up to be able to view pictures
I am a Tifoso from Santa Barbara. I follow F1 and root for the Scuderia. I carry my camera with me almost all of the time, in case I see something interesting. I am member of "Tifosiland Lounge", an internet forum, where I post my Ferrari sightings from the Santa Barbara/Montecito area.
I joined to see if I could track down the guy who took my wife in a late model Ferrari and sped off into the sunset. I just wanted to buy you a drink!! Thanks!
Hi there. I'm Mario from Brazil. 22 years old (23 on the 28th), not yet a Ferrari owner (should've been an internet whiz kid, I guess...) but hope to be someday. I've been lurking for a while, but I may start posting soon, although the posts will probably be more questions than answers. I'm more interested in the Vintage section, personally, but I try to read everything to keep myself informed. Also, I'm a Massa fan.... yes yes, I know... That's about it. See you around.
I will re introduce myself; I am Dino and have just sold the last of my vintage Porsche stash of parts and project cars. Since I believe what you focus on expands and I really want to fill the empty stall in the shop with a Dino--- Fiat, Gt4 or 208 euro? I need to be more active with like minded folks! I mean who else can drive around with a factory badge that says your real First NAME on it? I will be hanging out here more and posting in the F1 and 308 forums...
Hey, thought I'd introduce myelf too. My name is Anthony, I'm in the Kansas City area (Overland Park), an aspiring entrepreneur and Ferrari enthusiast! Are there any cool events going on in the midwest this summer? Thanks!
Hey guys. I'm Daniel - a 19 year old car enthusiast from the car-hating nation of Denmark. Currently I'm a student, and I'm hoping to one day become the owner of a Ferrari or two, although it is, realistically, highly unlikely in my nation. I enjoy lurking here, and have been a member for quite some time, but I haven't really contributed at all, as it can be quite overwhelming to see most of the vehicles people on here own. I do hope to contribute more, as people seem extremely open and friendly, but again, it can be quite intimidating!
nothing is intimidating here unless you do one of the following... 1) post in Politics & Religion and you aren't a conservative. 2) a Do-It-Yourself'er and one of the professional Ferrari techs stumbles upon your thread. 3) you post anything in Silver that has real content and makes sense. everything else is easy going.
"pilgrimage" = family vacation. I work 365 days a year, trip was for Mia except the couple hours a day I caught up on emails, posts, and PM's. I'll be back, buy some drinks. Hey I'm Dustin. I posted in the new member section, but figured I would post here too. I'm about to graduate college...again with a degree in radiologic therapy. I have a good bit of money already put aside from my previous jobs and hopefully with this new job I can in the next year or two pick up a 458 and join the club
...and now... 5) add insult to injury in posting pics of your lovely family hanging out less than a few blocks away from hurt subscriber.
My name is Ryan and I have been a member for a while but never posted until the past year or so. I am in auto sales and have sold Mazda, Subaru, Porsche, Audi, VW, BMW and now Mini for a total of almost 10 years. Mazda and Subaru I sold together and I also sold Porsche, AUdi VW and BMW at the same time. Then the owners built a stand alone BMW dealership and I was selected to be a Clinet Advisor there. I spent almost 7 years selling BMW's but moved about a year and 3 months ago so needed a new job closer to home. Decided to sell Mini because I love BMW's and also always liked the Minis. Now that I sell them I realize how great a car they really are. The personalization makes it for me amd makes it that much more fun to sell Mini. I am crazy about all cars with Ferrari being my favorite brand along with BMW and Porsche. I hope to one day own a 430 Manual (probably when I am much older and have money) because since I can remember I have had dreams of owning a gated ferrari. I can only imagine how amazing it must drive. Cars are my biggest passion i life (along with sports) and I read about them any chance I have. I have been reading numerous car mags cover to cover since I was about 10 and I am 33 now. I really like this forum and I am glad to be a member. Most people are very nice and are true car lovers so whats not to like? I curently drive a 2010 BMW 328i sport 6 speed. Its my 3rd BMW (previously had a 2006 330i and 2008 X3) and I also had a 2008 GTI (now the ex wifes) and I kept the BMW. All of my cars except my first two when I was 17 and 18 have been manual including my 2008 BMW X3 Msport. A VERY rare car in stick. If anyone has ANY questions about auto sales please let me know I would be glad to help. All the best and drive safe.
Hi my name is Anthony Gonzalez. I posted a message to another section of this site already, I did'nt know what a Lurker was, I thought it was some weird fishing term, but I guess that would be a lunker right? Anyhow I'm not as young as some of these guys here but I remember going to my first f1 race in long beach,CA many years ago so I think I'm still on the same page in enjoying the thrill of a hearing a screaming Ferrari pushing it into the red less than 20ft away.
