    Nik from Coys here..
I am going to try and post our results here for you,..

The Gorgeous Giulietta was a no sale and was bid to 35000 euros, close but not close enough for a sale..
We have the right to sell the car another 10 days if anyone is interested..

Nik - would you care to comment why Coys are so reluctant to publish sales prices ?

They sometimes leak onto your site about six months after the event whereas every other house manages within about 48 hours

I am aware of it and am trying to change this. Until I have managed to so I will give ferrarichat an unofficial list.. There are many post auction sales and we dont know what is sold and not until payment arrives.. But I am trying to get webcam broadcasts and online results etc but it is not done in a day... Things change slowly in the UK..
    I am working on it..

I don't know where you got these numbers, but I'm pretty sure quite a few cars listed as unsold were sold and vice-versa. For example, the 540K sold for sure, I believe the hammer price was 1.030 MEUR. I was in the room and scribbled them down on my catalog. I wish I could find it!

    Ludo,

There are definitely some errors in the list you posted. The 993 GT2 for example was hammered at 220KEUR.

If other auction companies can post sales lists in 48hrs why can't Coys.
I must admit they have been slow to post for the past 10 years plus, if at all.

Good luck with it Nik but do note that Bonhams publish within 24hrs and RM very close to that... No doubt you are hampered by all of Douglas's 'dodgy' post sale deals..lol

Ok, these are the results I wrote down during the auction. I am not, by any means, claiming that they are right, and they are of course without premium.
I don"t really understand how the auction was conducted as it was my experience that the hammer drop meant "Sold", and that some seemed to be "hammered", yet remaining unsold.

As you can see, I pretty much stopped listening after the M3 :)

A similar thing happened at the Artcurial Le Mans Classic auction in 2010 which led to some confusion over whether a particularly important car had been sold (it had not).

Later I was told it is not uncommon in European auctions for the item to be hammered whether sold or unsold.

It is interesting that you bring up the way Artcurial did it. I know that in France, the hammer marks the end of the bidding on the particular item, but it doesn't actually defines whether or not it is sold.
It is my understanding that, legally, the auctioneer has to say "Adjugé" (literally "awarded") to announce that a lot is sold.
