Not gonna make it. Steven Spielberg and I will be at NJMP shooting early races and qualifying for the Grand Am Rolex. I'll post pics tomorrow night.
    Go Ferrari

Just wanted to mention something awesome. There are two local drivers. Al Carter from Greenville, De. and Hugh Plumb from Unionville Pa. They run in the Continental Tire races, a support series, but great racing. Their team is BMW M3's sponsored by a children's cancer foundation called B+ Foundation. They are affiliated with AI duPont Hospital for Children. Al is a cancer survivor and in a great act of kindness these guys arranged to have their race car and another similar with a second seat brought to St Elizabeth's High School in Wilmington. There is a student there named Joey Farrell who came down with a rare form of brain cancer. Joey's a complete gear head and a great determined kid. Al and Hugh surprised him by showing up at the school with the cars after arranging with the Wilmington Police for an escort. They were allowed to pick Joey up and take him in the race car to AI Hospital for an event to promote the foundation.
    Here's a link.

A very touching event. Lots of tears everywhere. Great guys who give gearheads like us a good name.
The point is if anyone goes to NJMP for the Rolex Grand Am stop by and say hi to these great local guys and root for them to do well in the Continental race. They have a bad-azz blue-black and white BMW.
They arranged for Joey to wave the checkered flag for the winner of the race.

Hey, That's pretty wild Andrew. I used to shoot a fair amount of stuff for them for a while. I will be covering most of the Grand Am Rolex Series that I have time to get to this year. A bit of AMA national racing and as many other events as I can fit in. It has become harder and harder to do this kind of work because so many people are willing to do it for free.
I just watched the ALMS qualifying from Laguna Seca and they are very short of entries so hopefully if they roll up the Grand Am series will expand. The LMP1 class is usually a lesson in domination by Audi.
I really think Rolex is looking promising. Audi recently into GT in a big way and Aston Martin also.
It'll be a fun weekend though.

    Bob

Scott...I'm glad your microwave situation worked its way out and you didn't have to end up nuking your food on that V10 of yours.

    See everyone in a few.

We had a great time joining all of you at the WC C&C. There were about 15 of us who took a ride down from NJ/Bucks County and it was worth the trip. Hopefully some of you can join us one day up in Bucks County (buckscountyexotics.com). Let us know if you plan to come up and we can arrange a short ride and lunch. That picture of the wrecked car crashed between me and the yellow Lamborghini. He almost took four exotics out!
