Blue Maserati QP in the doctors parking lot at Huguley in Burleson around 3:45.
Spotted at Preston Royal Center in north Dallas about 1 o'clock this afternoon: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Almost positive I saw a yellow 246 Dino south on DNT. I was at the light at on royal and DNT. I was peeking onto the tollway and saw it flyby.
Was out this morning in the Countach, wasting fuel, spewing pollution, and chasing low flying aircraft, and you guys wouldn't believe all the really exotic cars that were out. I am glad I did not attend the Cars and Coffee yesterday, because I saw one mustang after another (5 by my count during my drive), speed up in an attempt to race me, swerve across traffic to race me, rev their engines really loud to get my attention, make idiotic gestures to roll down my window that only go down 3", etc. etc. etc. They all looked basically stock, but based on the amount of noise they were making, there must have been some really exotic hardware under the hood that no one could see. Sure am glad I was out this morning to see all those neat cars in my (non rented) Lambo! On topic; I did see a really nice Austin Healey 3000 while I was out. * See Cars and Coffee Thread for reference to attempt at humor above ;-)
From yesterday: Black Maserati Granturismo MC going north on Hilcrest to Royal. He turned on royal before I could get close enough to take a picture. There was also a red viper going south at the same time This was at 1
Black 430 Scud DT Plano on 15th street Glad to see that you left space between those high curbs and the front bumper! S
Red TR headed SB Tollway @ Frankford. I tried to catch up, but passed my exit on the way in to work already... S
Spotted a yellow 355GTS headed north on Hulen near I-20 this morning as I drove home from the FTW get-together at Yogi's
Beautiful 348 Spider parked at Lynn Creek Yacht Club at Joe Pool Lake this afternoon. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The battery warning light came on, it could be something with the alternator but it was just rebuilt this past January. I'll find out sometime tomorrow.
After having lunch with a couple friends, I dragged them to go to Park Place Porsche and that lead to going to MB, AM, and Mclaren. The AM place was the most polite mostly because the guy at the front desk seemed bored. He talked with us and answered any questions. Apparently Dallas is getting 2 out of 5 One-77 bound for the US. We ended the excursion with a stop at the Mclaren dealership. They had an orange MP4, Titanium MP4(looked great but I never took a picture ), bare chassis, and an 04 F1 car. They didn't pay attention to us but I wasn't surprised. I've always preferred boardwalk. The pictures of the F1 car are my friends. Mine came out terrible and I used his. One of the SLS that my friend took. In the area I saw a California on the road. No picture since it drove by and I was standing in the AM parking lot. On Lovers near the DNT, two GTRs. I always seem to see cars and can't take pictures for you guys. Image Unavailable, Please Login
So, they change out the racing cars? Last time I went, they had Johnny Rutherford's 1975 Indy 500 car there. I gotta go again soon. When I went, I first asked if I could take pictures (I was kicked out the last time). He said yes, so I snapped pictures. Before I left, we got to talking about the technology in the MP4-12C, the improvements in the '12 Bentley GT, and a matte black Bentley SS they had in the back. Very nice man (can't remember his name), and a much better experience than last time. The guys at AMoD are always some of the kindest people you can deal with. In the two times I have visited, I always got into a conversation with somebody.
The car there was Kimi Raikkonen's in 2004. He scored 38pts with that exact car including a win at Belgium. At AMoD they surprised me big time. I've never been before and I thought they would be very snobbish but the guy working the front desk was very accommodating and talk with us for a few minutes. I almost went there a few years ago but didn't because there was a sign that said "Appointment Only"
I was surprised as well when I first went there in July of last year. I thought they would be snobbish but I was wrong. I talked with somebody about the Virage, and then he was kind enough to offer me a model range booklet. While I was snapping away, somebody walked through the showroom and he said "you getting some good shots?". I love dealers who are like that.
Boardwalk is like that. At BW Porsche I sometimes climb into the 911s on the showroom and the employees don't seem to care. I even saw a couple kids climbing on a 997 cab and a salesman walked over and started kidding around with them. Now if only BW Ferrari let us do that or at least open them up and get a feel for the interior. Anyone listening?
I never get into cars without asking permission. Though, I sit in an orange GT3 RS at BWP, a silver 360, black 612, and silver 575 at Crown Motorsports (no longer in business), a white CLK63BS at RAC, and the new 911 at Autobahn Porsche.
Didn't realize we had an R8 GT Gorgeous color and great sound. Here's a clip of it giving a short rev http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=665QvtFjto4&feature=youtu.be Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
