anyone install air horns on a Scud
I've got a Stebel Nautilus 2 tone airhorn (rated at 139db), in my runabout. It's seriously loud. We both took turns having heart attacks when we tested the horn with each other after the install (mechanic - horn, me - in front, and vice versa). A trick to stop dirt accumulating via the air hose, is to use a cheap plastic fuel filter (note the direction of flow => on the filter ), at the very end of it. Then just cable tie it to the car's chassis. Cheers
There's something about the air horns I love but I can't help but be reminded of the train horn prank. Its always a good laugh. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecLxyfG632U[/ame]
+1. But interesting though, I've never really needed to use the horn so I don't really know how the stock horn sounds like. Might give it a try. Fresh off my iPhone via Tapatalk
I saw in the historical maint records for my CS that the 2nd owner had added a "355 horn". I've never heard a modern ferrari horn, but mine sounds like an air horn of sorts...
After I got my car I drove to a friend's house and honked the horn and said to myself wtf was that. Lol. I had my horn changed to an air horn by my mechanic and now it sounds like a Ferrari should. Just my opinion.
