    What kind of inspection does PPI cover? Will PPI inspect for re-paint? Will cover compression test and leakdown test?

    A PPI can be whatever you want it to be, but also dependent on what the current owner may allow. Purchase of a daily driver may entail a PPI completely different than a project car. Who you have perform the inspection will also impact the scope of a PPI. So the answer to your queries is yes or maybe. Physical inspection of the car is just one aspect. A thorough review of records is equally important. Depending on scope of records sometimes much more can be gleaned from what is included as well as what is not.
