Concours kinda question Re Boot seal

    Hi all,

    so I know this may seem lame to some but here goes. I have a new boot seal to install, my old one is torn. And this begs the question, where is the seam to be? Parts books show it at one corner but my old (Original?) one was at the middle of the forward part.

    What say you all?

    Mine is in the middle. OEM? No clue.

    Let it now and henceforth be known that the OEM position for the seam is the middle... of the forward part.

    Agreed, but I am no expert on this topic. mine is in the middle front also. 85 but 308

    Also forward middle ('82GTSi), but note a rolled-up 'plug' inserted so ends meet exactly.
