Ferrari Race Day at Laguna Seca

Didn't seem to be any chatter about this event this year like last year. Even in NoCal not much. I just got back after being there today and yesterday, kind of disappointing this year. The Challenge race was good but other than that very little going on. One F1 car, 1 FXX and 3 599XXs, that's it other than the challenge cars. Also today only about a dozen Ferrari's in the corral areas in the paddock. I remember back not too many years ago the weekend before the historics there were about 10 F1 cars and about 15 FXXs. Why so little now?

Probably my last year going to this, ALMS or Rolex Grandam events much more interesting.

 

That's a bummer. Last year was great with a plenty of action. Anyone know why the car count is down so much?

 

I was pretty disappointed with turnout too. I'm thinking it *may* have had something to do with the XX programme test day they had at Monza last week. Many of the XX owners decided to go to that and perhaps logistically, Ferrari could not promise owners that they would be able to get the equipment to Laguna in time, so they didn't sign up. Doesn't explain the lack of F1 cars though...

 

Wish I had those kind of problems facing me.

Interesting. Not all that close on Friday and he wasn't in the car on Sat. I left Sunday AM. Unofficial so doesn't count I guess?
