    I heard they changed the design when they learned of his passing. (-;

    Viper bonnet, Saleen S7 window/side, WTF rear end.

    They shoulda just taken the Alfa 8C, stretched the back, shrank the front, dropped it about an inch, and shoehorned a V12 somewhere behind the driver.

    Woulda been a lot less complex than all this mess, and it would have looked a helluva lot better.

    The red rendering ^ is probably the best one I've seen so far.

    It's still terrible, but it's the lesser of all the evils.

    You can include the current Enzo with your comment here ... hideous looking thing. The P4/5 completely embarrasses Ferrari when it comes to designing something that actually looks good and works better.

    This seems to be the only design I've seen that could even be remotely plausible.

    I'd bet against it. A hodgepodge of conflicting elements that don't integrate. Ferrari will do better than that. But it still may be butt ugly -- like the Enzo.

    One thing is fore sure: if it doesn't come on fire it isn't a ferrari! If you know what I mean... lol
    just kidding...

    Anyway, I've been viewing the pics on this thread, and I hope none of them is the new enzo... I mean, there are some good designs, but, they are not good enough to be called the new enzo, of course it is just my opinion

    Agree, but it´s easier to make something that looks good when you´re copying something that looked even better.

    I just hope that they stay away from all the retro-crap everybody is doing now and try something different.

    Couldn''t disagree more. You can say whatever you want about the Enzo, but at the time of it''s unveiling it was something completely new and creative. Flat surfaces, sharp angles, nothing you had ever seen coming from Ferrari. And that is what makes Ferrari design strong. They don't do what people expect them to do. And yes, that is risky business, but in the end the Enzo had more then enough admirers to be a success. I can assure you Ferrari is not embarrased by P4/5. And on that matter, P4/5 is a retro design, referencing the P4 sportscar. It looks how it looks because Jim wanted it that way. That's the upside of being able to create your very own sportscar. Does it look better than an Enzo? I think not but that is because I am not into retro. What was in 1967 does not have to be translated in a time 40 years later. Just a personal opinion meant to illustrate that opinions differ.

    I generally agree on retro styling, but for me P 4/5 embodied everything that is right about it.

    Ferrari's latest offerings are, IMHO, playing it safe. The Enzo was the last car that broke out of the box and made you love or hate it.

    and that is of course fine with me. P4/5 is by no means an ugly car or anything. In fact, it is a beautiful car, yet I would be dissapointed when Ferrari would have gone this way for themselves. Ferrari doesn't need to go retro. A few styling details that echo a rich past of beautiful designs are, however, forgiven.

    I think Ferrari have done a great job in creating a very versatile spectrum of cars. The 458 is the moneymaker and it has an agressive style that is just conservative enough in overall shape to appeal to a broad range of wealthy people. The FF is totally different. A completely new concept for Ferrari but executed beautifully. Indeed a love it or hate it car in terms of designs, but it delivers in terms of handling, performance and, dare I say it, practicallity. The F12berlinetta is again something else. Perhaps a somewhat known silhouette, but the detailling and the way the styling is used for aerodynamic efficieny is downright fascinating. Ferrari is again pushing the envelop in this respect.

    Ferrari have set the bar very high for the Enzo predecessor. I hope Ferrari goes looking for the extreme in places where no one has ever tought to look. Not like Lamborghini who fail to deliver any surprises in terms of design for quite a while now.
