    Hi guys,

I have the opportunity to own one of these beautiful cars, will like to ask an honest opinion, which one will hold their value most? If i were to use one of them as a weekly ride, which one drives better as a daily?

    Thanks

The answer to all your questions is 288 GTO. It will perform better price-wise because there are fewer cars out there and this is evident in the price action of the last couple of years.
It is also a better daily driver, with more progressive handling on its narrower tyres, less shocking turbo boost and better ground clearance.

However no one drives these cars every day and I dont think practical considerations matter if you use the car once a week or less.

There is no question that the F40 is a more exciting car (more exciting than any modern car too in my opinion), but if I could only keep one I'd probably keep the 288

Thanks for your prompt reply. It was indeed helpful. However due to the recent price run up and imminent euro financial crisis, what's the bottom for the gto?

    Thanks

Joe Sackey will be better placed to respond but I would think any financial crisis will have fairly little effect on the value of 288 GTO's

The cheapest cars you can get in Europe right now are not much less than 600,000 EUR. And I dont see them getting any cheaper

Your questions have already been answered well. The 288 GTO is definitely more usable, and will hold its value better.

    x2...

288 GTO is currently more valuable, and should continue to appreciate much more as well. As for which one daily drives better, I haven't the slightest idea :(

I agree with George. Although, I did use my 288 GTO as a daily driver (actually trading off and on with my then new 512TR). It didn't melt in the rain, either did the 512TR for that matter, never overheated even in 109 degree heat (ditto the 512TR), sat in traffic for hours without complaining (although going in and out first gear in horrible traffic is not a fun drive), etc. The F40 is better for the track though. I don't have a crystal ball, but I'm in agreement with others here that the 288 GTO is likely to be a better investment just on the production numbers.
