Has anyone mentioned the white Miura that appears briefly in the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" film? (1974) Its visible for about about 2 seconds during a warehouse scene. My copy is VHS so I can't capture an image. Edit - Writer/Director/Star HB Halicki had a large classic and exotic car collection and it was likely one of his own vehicles?
youtube to the rescue [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkurZWm52Uc[/ame] fast forward to around 1:42...
I don't which one it is, but I know it's not 1021. I looked into whether or not this car was 1021, which was painted white at some point in its life and was in LA during that period, but it was quickly apparent it was not.
Now that would have been a fun coincidence! Halicki's collection was broken up in the early 90's after his death - ironically he died in a freak accident while filming the sequel. So assuming it was his own car and not borrowed for the film, maybe it was on the market around that time? He is credited as having owned numerous Ferraris over the years as well.
Quite painful to hear. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ew-XLBCdol4[/ame] Daytona Prototype too. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HV98baq0ZjU[/ame]
