Finally enjoying the last of the smokes sent to me by John. Padron 1964 anniversary box-pressed after a good day in the real estate market. 60 days closer to a new car in the stable is worthy of the celebration. John is a stand up guy who appreciates and shares his good sticks. THANK YOU!

I have an Olivia V Series Double Robusto (5x54). Lit one up last night and kicked my butt. 1/4 way into the stick it had good flavor, drew nicely but the more I got into it, it was too much for me. Never have I smoked something of this size that impacted me like that. Anyone that enjoy these that might want to trade?

Just ordered a few 5 Vegas Gold Robustos and some Diesel Unholy Cocktail torpedoes... haven't tried either one yet, but open to swapping a couple for something comparable. They'll be here end-of-week.

 

That sounds good. I tried a few different 5 Vegas but didn't try the Gold Robusto. Also haven't tried any of the Diesels. I'll PM you my info.

John - got your sticks today... enjoying the G.A.R. Torpedo as I write this. A good smoke, it's not as full-bodied as I expected - probably a little lower on the medium scale and very smooth. 2/3 through it and it's building flavor without harshness and has a nice even burn and easy draw... it'll be on my list for my inventory in the future.

Also received my shipment of the 5 Vegas and Diesels - I'll have the return package on it's way to you tomorrow. Let me know what you think when you try 'em.

Glad you got them and are liking the GAR. I've grown pretty fond of them! I'm still pretty new so I'm still liking the milder smokes. Looking forward to trying out what you send!!

I finally had some time last night and sat down and lit up the Diesel you sent me. Nice smoke! Probably a touch more full bodied than I'm used to but not bad. It mellowed out a bit though and was a real treat! Gonna probably try one or both of the others you sent this weekend.

So had a bit more time last night and lit up the Liga. This was VERY mild. It didn't have a ton of flavor but it was tasty. I think this one had a split in the wrapper which made it even milder than it should have been. Once I got past the split it was a bit better.

 

John - glad you're enjoying them - the Liga is definitely on the mild end of the spectrum. I have the Fuente Flor Fina on the dessert menu for tonight.

 

I really like the Flor Finas. They are about the intensity I like right now. I'll probably light up the 5 Vegas when I get home tonight.

Digging this up just because it was a lot of fun. I learned about some new cigars and enjoyed swapping with folks. If you don't remember this or weren't around it works like this...I will swap the first person to PM a cigar (or more) and once they get mine they send one back. Folks can post here to find someone to swap with.

I have found a few new ones I'd like to share and I know there are other ones out there that I'd like to try.

So I'll go first..I will trade a couple good sticks with the first person to PM me.

It's a little to cold in these parts to enjoy swapping cigars but certainly a good idea for when summer arrives!

 

Still pretty chilly here too but doesn't mean we can't swap anyway. Actually it's supposed to be pretty nice here this weekend. May even get in a round of golf and a stogie!
