f355 Emissions sticker? 2.7 or 5.2

I would say if we can get a picture of each year the image can be adjusted

Year to year looks like some slight wording differences along with engine and emission family

 

That number is not the VIN. I believe it relates to the version of the sticker and is probably best left alone.

 

If someone with a '95 and someone with a '96+ F355 could check their sticker to verify the above is correct, that would be great. If it is correct, we'll need to see if the number changes from year to year.

 

You can tell from the photo of the sticker posted in this thread alone that the number could not be the VIN. It shows 160734 while VINs are between 90000 and 120000 (see ferrari355registry.com).

Here's another MY95 sticker with a number of 160733. It's from a July 1994 build and early MY95s are known to have different engines, so the two different but consecutive numbers make sense.

There's likely less variation for the other years. I'm going to send you a photo of a MY99 sticker with a number of 178318.

I just received the Weatherproof Silver Polyester label. The labels look quite nice and matches the matte silver finish of the original label fairly closely. I think we have enough info to do the 1995 and 1999, but will need the number next to the MY1996, 97 and 98 to make those. I am assuming that for all OBD2 that the Engine Family name, Evaporative Emission Family, Exhaust Emission Control System and spark plug gap info are the same. Note that I have info on two 1999's that both have the same number next to MY1999.

I just tried to take a pic of my '97, but none of them turned out because of the dim light in my parking garage here at work. I'll try again, outside, after work.

The 1995 F355 emissions sticker reproductions are now available. I e-mailed information to the folks that provided me their e-mail adrress. If you are interested, please send me your e-mail address via PM. I will not PM you the information.

We are still working on the image for the OBDII models (currently 1997 and 1999). We don't have the MY1996 and MY1998 sticker numbers yet. Hopefully by end of next week the 1997 and 1999 labels will be ready.

With the tremendous efforts of 355Rockit along with others I can say that I might be the first to have a new sticker installed on my car. Got the first run done on the "Silver Foil" and it looks great. The pictures that some of you may have seen do not do it justice so I fired up the good camera and took a decent picture.

Keep in mind, you might want to 'test fit' the sticker as I probably should have trimmed a bit off of it before install. Also, have quick and steady hands when applying it. The adhesive is very sticky (good thing), so I do recommend taking the heat shield off of the car to apply this (I did not and it is a little off, oh well). Use a razor blade to get the old sticker off and then some brake clean to clean up the remaining adhesive from the old sticker. Dry it off well to get the remaining cleaner off and apply.

Mine is 160733, sept. '94 build. It doesn't look as silver as yours, mine is in very good shape and I have the engine compartment half apart right now so I could take a high res pic if you could use it.

 

That would be great! I do have a pic of a 1994, but need a clearer pic to verify the info.

 

Per CARB, they want only the original sticker and say to try to preserve the original as much as possible. On another note they say that the sticker is only informational to assist the smog station find the info quickly without going to their catalogs. Not having the sticker doesn't prevent you from getting the smog certificate, but does make it a pain.

Just an FYI.... use the reproduction sticker at your own discretion.

my original was illegible & curled with only the VOID visible on the metal tag.
Goof-off wouldn't remove the glue, though it looked like rubber cement. I carefully used several paper towels & acetone with the side shield out of the car. That worked.
And if I look carefully, I can see the original image etched into the copper(?). I can't see the MY 1995 or 160734, but I can tell my original only had the words CATALYST and not "Approved for Import". I tried black light & UV light, but nothing helped enhance it. It's also about 4mm wider & 1mm higher than the plate, but some careful trimming should take care of that. It's going to look WAY better than the curled paper.

After this, is the Ferrari VIN 3of9 barcode above it. It's peeling too.

 

Are you going to use the Matte Silver or the Silver Foil since you requested both?

Mine clearly has a build date of Sep 95, but it has the "Catalyst" of your 94. I'll bet the stickers ran out in late '95 and Ferrari's next batch was slightly different. Typical Ferrari

As to the matte or silver foil - I dunno. Probably silver foil as a couple of the other stickers like coolant are bright silver.

 

Not sure on the foil, I just know mine isn't silver. The VEC sticker directly below it in the pic is, though.

 

Just got my stickers, the matte silver poly ones, and they look perfect. The old label came off very easily, and after a little cleaning, the new one is in place. I trimmed the sides of mine before installing, but it is very hard to get a straight edge with scissors. If I did it again, I would put the sticker on, then trim with a razor. Also, I would recommend taking the panel off the car. It's only 3 screws to have it right in front of you on the bench. Anyway, it looks great! Far better than the faded original. Thanks to Vas and the others who made this possible.
