    anybody dealt with this outfit? i sold him a motor and he needed some other items which i sent to him on the promise he would pay upon recieving it, now he mysteriously doesnt anwer the phone or respond to emails, its been a couple months which should be more than enough time to get his end sorted out.
    or maybe hes just another scammer, they do seem to be everywhere these days, any insight?

    Wow ferrari chat is awesome, i already got an email from him after being ignored for the last month! I will see if he actually sends payment so i can delete this thread sooner than later.

    just thought i should update this thread, turns out steve maxwell is a first class scumbag and did in fact rip me off and not fullfill his end of the deal. So just a warning to anybody out there, be careful, once a scammer always a scammer!

    hes based out of san diego btw.

    I have known Steve Maxwell for years and have found him to be the most honest and down to earth guy that knows the Ferrari's.. inside and out.
    He is a first class guy who goes the distance for his customers..who also happen to be his friends!

    yep must be a troll, maybe even from mr maxwell himself!! since he really doesnt seem to have much of an entourage or satisfied customers sticking up for him.... dont worry ill keep bringing it to the top every now and then ;)

    well hes obviously not paying at this point! I trusted this scumbag cause I thought he had a reputation to keep up and he purchased a fairly big ticket part, so what was another few hundred dollars to send at his convenience so it didn't hold up the engine being shipped out, or cost more shipping at a later date....

    Very sorry to say, but almost two years on I think you are correct. I do not believe you will be paid.

    As for protecting a reputation, I dare say this episode will help him build one. A bad one.

    I would go confront him face to face... Using the phone its to easy to be ignored. Tell him straight up you want paid or we go to court.

    I can assure you, I am definitely not Steve Maxwell.
    I am not friends with him, nor even what I would call an acquaintance.
    Mention my name and I’m certain he would not remember me.

    But I did used his services once a few years ago.
    He was very helpful and quite literally got me out of a jam (stuck door lock)
    He dropped what he was doing, and after thirty minutes of his time he wouldn’t charge me a cent.
