    ...this isn't it.

Two different people have already claimed that the dealer told them this was the last Enzo made. It's not. Not even close. I don't know if the dealer is really saying that, but I just thought we could get a leg up on what seemed like an inevitable thread. Also, another rumor suggests that they already sold this car for $1.6MM, so this thread might be pointless. It's the only yellow/Cuoio Enzo in the known world, and that certainly holds some value.

The "last Enzo" is up for debate, because it depends upon how one defines "last one". The official last Enzo, the last Enzo built, the highest S/N etc. Those are all different cars.

Was Jim's the last US Enzo? What about the guy with all the yellow Ferraris? I heard something was special about his.

Phil Bachman? Yellow and red Daytona seats, blue seatbelts, the "Enzo" signature on the rear and red and black luggage.

If my memory serves me correctly.

    That's him. Thanks.
Is his Enzo the last or special in any other way?
Hopefully this classifies as "on topic"

His wasn't the last. Phil's is SN 135262 while I uncertainly want to say 143955 is the last one.

But the last Ferrari Enzo was not produced in 2005 and donated to John Paul II and then sold for charity?

yes, this was truly the last Enzo but perhaps the interpretation of last Enzo available for sale for the public could be a different car

Didn't a chap who used the ID icemanbops claim to have bought the last 'new' enzo - a rebuild from some bare bones of a previous Enzo, but certified by the factory as new once rebuilt? My memory on dates is not that great with this one, but I'm thinking the whole story happened around 2008/9?

Remember fellas, production numbers are very different than "production numbers."

Very true. Some might say the highest serial number is the last Enzo, while others could speculate that the latest build date dictates the last Enzo. But then what about Enzos that have been rebuilt? A few people could technically lay claim to having the "last" Enzo, in some sense of the term, but one is no more veracious than the other.

Jim's is 135441, spare parts from which now make 131320 whole.

Phil and Martha have 135262 - though a majority of their collection (of mostly yellow Ferraris) consists of "last one made" Ferraris.

The highest-known Enzo serial number is 141920, the red/tan Pope Enzo; 143955 is probably an F430.

This is technically correct - the 400th Enzo was made for the Pope in 2005, and he told Ferrari to auction it off and donate the proceeds to the victims of the (March?) 2005 tsunami. But then IceManBops has (had?) an Enzo that was "rebuilt" by the factory in 2008...

That's just downright misleading. Every Enzo has a little plaque in it that says "399" - indicated that only 399 Enzos were (supposed to be) made. That's the ex-Ralph Lauren car, 132654, not even close to the last Enzo in any sense of the word.

    Exactly.

I believe this was his - can someone confirm that he owned this one?

You're right. This, among other things, muddies anyone's ability to lay claim to owning the "last" Enzo.

That was one of the first to be totaled, and subsequently one of the first to be "rebuilt." Interestingly enough, I bought a piece of that car's brake rotor off of eBay for $10. Still have it today.

    Exactly.

    Look again; closer.

I would say that the last one to leave the factory would be the last and not include rebuilds. Any idea which one that would be?

    Am I color blind????

Seriously....first off, there aren't any interior pics on Scottsdale's advertisement for that car on their site.....

I can't see how it looks Cuoio in the 24 (looking through the front windshield)pics they DO have.....

I think that there are some cars that have been assigned new chassis numbers (for whatever reason) and those cars are being counted as additional cars rather than the same car with a different chassis number. It isn't the first time its happened with Italian car manufacturers.

Also, whilst I agree that you can slice this topic 399 different ways, Ferrari SpA's official designation of "Last" is what will matter in due course. "The Last" depends on how one defines it, and we can get pretty silly with it too, all with supposedly legitimate claims:

    - The last assembly date.
    - The last delivery date.
    - The last black Enzo.
    - The last yellow Enzo.
    - The last red Enzo with black interior supplied to the UK.
    - The last Enzo rebuilt by the factory.
    - The last Enzo created with spare parts by the factory.

Ad nauseum... at the end of the day everyone can make some sort of claim. So, what really matters? I say the last "official" production Enzo as confirmed by Ferrari SpA. In that regard, and in the factory's record books, 14920, the 400th Enzo built for the Pope with the highest chassis number is the one that has the genuine claim that matters to being the Last production Enzo built.
