Before and after You will need to coat the new sticker with either a protective paint or I'm going to visit staples & see if they have a sticky clearcoat plastic as you can see from my rubbing to apply, a little ink came off. But looks great! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The requestor has to specify coated or uncoated. The stickers are coated with a Krylon 'crystal clear' acrylic coating if requested, but unfortunately you had requested no coating on yours. In the future I wil provide only coated stickers to prevent damage to the sticker.
Finally got a good shot of my sticker in daylight with an SLR. Anyone wanting a full res shot, send me an e-mail via FerrariChat. The sticker on my car is a solid white background. This photo has a few defects in it that I haven't tried to edit out. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 1999 F355 labels are ready. PM me for info. The 1997 are in progress. I don't have enough info for doing the 1996 or 1998, so these are on hold.
Almost two years later . . . I got one of the first stickers made by 355rockit and it has held up great with no issues, no peeling and no fading. For this f355 owner, this had to be one of the best collaborations on the board and thanks to 355rockit for making the effort to make it happen. I know it is a small item, but it is really nice to have when the car comes due for smog in CA and it is certainly valuable for those bringing a car into CA like I did. Thanks again.
Great to hear. Mine is holding up great too. It was allot of work, but well worth it. Thanks to SoCal1 for his expertise as well.
I'm assuming this isn't something I have to worry about in GA. We do have emissions regulations and yearly tests... maybe a dumb question, but what is the purpose of this emissions sticker?
The tech relies on the emission sticker to tell him/her what equipment is on the car at time of manufacturing. They have their book but they go off the sticker.
355rockit, Did you ever get the correct one for a 1996? I have a 1996 F355 Spider if that makes any difference. I'm not clear on these. Are these a plastic encased foil with a shiny silver background and black lettering/graphics? Are they intended to be peal-and-stick adhered to the OEM sheet metal plate that in turn rivets to the side cover (my car has neither so I guess I would have to make the plate from photos)?
