I am going to see F1 GP this September , but I do not know which is the best seat under $250 ticket price. I wish I could spend more but I have a limited budget. I checked the web site below, and see few options. I need Sunday race ticket only, but if weekend ticket is a better deal, I do not mind to purchase that.

I think these are my options:

    (5) Piscina

    (6a) Alta Velocita A

    (21a) Laterale Parabolica A, B, D, or E

    (23a) Parabolica Interna A or B

Any recommendations? Which one will be the best choice?

I have already booked flights and hotel, but have a hard time to decide which seat I should pick. I should ask my hubby, but I am planning this trip as a surprise gift for him, so cannot ask him. If you know about Monza, Please help me out ! Thank you very much.

Great gift! [I need a wife like you ;)]

    Anyway, and it's been a *long* time since I've been there, my 02c;

    - I'd do general admission on Friday & Saturday - Walk around the circuit between sessions and just "check the place out" - Lots of history inside that park.

    - For Sunday, from your list, I'd probably do 6a, as high as you can get. You should then be able to see the start and all thru turn 1. Looks like a big TV is right there, which is essential.

FWIW, either an FM radio (for commentary) and/or the Fanvision gizmo add to the enjoyment.

Hopefully, others with more recent knowledge will jump in. And remember the old Fchat adage; "pictures or it didn't happen!" ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

I went a couple of years ago, and we sat in 6c, which was great. You could see/hear the cars coming down the straight at speed, then they would slow down (think red hot brake discs) right in front of you. You could then watch/hear them accelerate away.

I've always tried to be at an area where the cars are going (slow), as you can actually see them. Not sure if 6a will be the same, but I highly recommend 6c.

If you stay in Milan, you take the train then a bus, then a few kilometer walk. The bus can be a little unpleasant, as it gets packed.

Remember to bring ear protection, you will need it!

Thank you very much Ian! I really appreciate your post. I will probably go for 6 since rlips also said 6 was great. It is very nice to hear from someone who had been there before. Hope we will have a great time. Again, thank you so much for your advice:)

rlips, thank you very much for your post! 6c sounds great, but it is a little more than I want to spend, so I guess I will go for 6a. Yes, I am going to stay in Milan. I will remember "no bus but train" and also ear plugs. Again, thank you so much:)

I have not been to Monza in a while, but the train from Milano Centrale to Monza is commuter and there were be thousands of people. short of a chopper in and out - which is not as expensive as you may think... the train / bus combo is the best. As I remember you enter from the south which means you cross over the old banked track straight away.. and cross over all the helipads as well. early is much better.... the crowds are crazy thick.

if you want to really do it right, stay up in the mountain lake district and chopper in... cost about 300E RT...from Como or Belagio...but the line at the heli port is crazy too!
