Here they are. Driving through the Swiss Alps last summer and couldn't believe how serene everything was. I made my brother pull over so I could just stare at everything and take in the silence.... Just a regular old $300 Canon here. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Found this little guy munching on a dried worm on the back patio. The worm was stuck to the surface so I reconstituted it with some water and broke off a piece. The snake gobbled that right up. I went back after about a half hour and he was still hanging around. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not bad! A little practice / more experience and you'd be taking some excellent shots. Some people just have a natural eye for composition. Is that a baby water mocassin? I almost got bit by one playing in a cousin's yard in East Texas one time. Nasty snakes!
Thanks. I just don't want to ever buy an SLR because I have no desire to lug any camera around on all my trips that can't fit in my pocket. Took these photos today of the Colorado wildfire smoke drifting over to Western Nebraska. Working out here near the Wyoming border for a few more days. Just an iPhone camera, though. This time it was simply an Eastern Garter Snake. http://www.floridabackyardsnakes.com/EasternGarterSnake.html http://www.floridabackyardsnakes.com/
Really like those shots from Switzerland, the perfect timing helps too I went for some rooftopping last night. I ended up climbing a ladder onto the roof of a ten storey building while carrying my camera and tripod, but it was worth it! Gongeuptap Rotary. by v15ben, on Flickr
Ben, the roundabout photo is nice! Just out of curiosity why don't you just link to the image so it loads to the page directly? Reminds me of one I took in Shanghai a couple of years ago. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Ben, no worries. First thing, just right click on where ever you have the photo hosted and choose "Copy Image URL". Then under Additional Options below, just go to "Manage Attachments"-->"Upload File from a URL". Just paste the URL in that box and click upload. If you have more than one just repeat the process.

Thanks very much for the information, Marc. I genuinely never knew that was possible. Just tried it with a Flickr photo using various versions of the URL, but couldn't get it to work. Will have another look next time I upload though
