hopefully the mule is staying true to tradition by intentionally making it look as fugly as humanly possible

hints of the car can be seen under all those mule panels ....it's evidently going to have a very slight body build to it ....likely the nose will be quite narrow, with what appears forced air cooling/downforce (like F50 and Enzo use), and what looks like intakes at headlamps (those are temporary 458 lights used) to accelerate air out from wheels well and possibly exit at the abrupt cut of front fenders tail edge ....my bet is the doors cut out into toward the center, with a F1 like intake pods shape for side impact protection ....a report says an incorporated full width rear wing and looks like it will be quite low aft of rear tires top edge, and with temporary rear intake ducts showing on the mule, likely have small coolers placed there (similar to 458) ....i'm excited to see the final result!

Actually I think that the headlights are staying. The camo cladding seems to stop just short of them.
The side windows appear to be deeper and the car quite wasp waisted. Think P4.

If I had to bet I'd bet it will be curvier than an Enzo.

And if it has P4 hints it will resemble a nonexistent car that did quite well at the Ring recently.

sounds like most of the design work for the F70 is complete:
    http://blog.caranddriver.com/ferrari-enzo-replacement-design-finalized/
interesting that there was no PininFarina involvement:
"As to the styling itself, we understand that traditional Ferrari collaborator Pininfarina had nothing to do with it. The result comes entirely from within the confines of Ferrari own studio in Maranello, led by renowned designer Flavio Manzoni. Could this be the beginning of the end of a long relationship with Pininfarina? We hope not, but we don’t run Maranello."

Been coming for quite a while now.
Fiat/Ferrari want to bring as much in house as possible. Makes Some sense if you're an MBA, not as much if you're a Tifosi.

I still find it hard to beleive that they'd go this way but in the photo's it does look like they have.

"Although remnant traces of the 458 are still seen, particularly in the front end, the most prominent design detail that seems to be final is the shape of the rear window which strongly resembles the one on the P4/5 Competizione."

Have you seen the car or will you consider purchasing one? Well some people who saw it said it does remind of the P4/5...

Jim, in no way would I be in the least surprised if Ferrari considered P4/5 sort of an 'interim' successor to the Enzo very much considering it a springboard to other ideas, and plus the P4/5 has been met with nothing but massive praise so why not make a P4/5 'Evoluzione' or the like? It's a perfect paradigm to adopt in a day when 'retro modern' is so popular yet cutting edge at the same time. Interesting times, is this a renaissance?

The general form really suggests a hybrid of the 458 and the P4/5. I suspect the design will not have the flourishes of the Cali/FF/F12 grill, going instead for the all-business look of the 458. I do hope that the massive side scoop of the P4/5 is tamed. All in all it looks promising. We shall see.
