North Korea had the worst defence, and the worst goalie I have ever seen.

And all the Portugal Players were running x2 faster than the Koreans.....equals no chance!

I must admit. It seems like it's an easy feat to blow them away. But let us remember that even Brazil had a tricky time with N. Korea. Everyone, including Portugal has had a hard time this year. Many upsets, many ties etc. I just hope Portugal keeps up the same rythm when playing the next game :)

dare i say maybe this is the year of the pork chop victory ;)

Im calling a toss up on argentina - spain - portugual --- and a quiet as always come lately italy , they are still defending champs, and they always start slow until the final 16.

if i was betting, i would have to go with argentina and portugual seem to fair the most likely.

Now there's a major upset. Still can't believe that both finalists from the previous WC didn't advance through the Group stages. The Azzuri were highly underachieving throughout the tournament. As previous champs, it should not have to come down to a last second must-win situation to advance. That's shameful in itself.

...I dare someone to walk into LaPaloma with a Slovakia flag draped on.

I skipped off work to watch the game.......Total dissapointment!! Italy has played like crap the entire tournament, absolutely no passing, no ball management. I can't believe we all waited 4 years for this display of soccer from them.

My wife is Portuguese, so I have another jersey and team to cheer for tomorrow !! My World Cup is not over yet. :D
LOLL PM Berlusconi should have called in some 'favours' in the last minute of the game. ;)

True, I wouldnt say they played bad the whole game. They ended the first half pretty aggressively. The second half was a write off. Yes Ronaldo was a write off too. I dont know what happens to these huge stars when they come home. Even Messi is the same. No goals...nothing!

Vasco...you know Italy and Portugal are my teams ;) But they were both write-offs this World cup. I thought Portugal had enough guts to make it past the group finals.

What a difference between David Villa, and Ronaldo. Both are superstars, but Villa put triple the effort into his games during the tournament. Ronaldo just jogged around waiting for an open shot. Villa was making passes, striking the net, and running down opponents all the time.

If you play for your country it should be for free.
Who would of thought an Italian would be in charge of the English.
Or a Dutch in charge of the Australians etc etc etc.

One guy controlled the ball twice with his hand and then scored.
the ref even laughed and joked with the player after the game saying it was a hand ball.
    But the goal was GIVEN.
