+1000 I love any vintage musical gear, guitar or drum kits. Very envious. I think there are a couple of pros here, but I'm certainly not one. My definition of a "pro" means you earn your primary income source from taking and selling pictures. I'm a keen amateur that likes to travel and walk around and take pictures. I've been enjoying the randomness of the thread personally. Okay, haven't logged into my flicker account in a long time but I just did. They've killed the option to link directly to a photo, ie they are refusing to host images indirectly. What a bunch of b.s. Your only option is to copy the BBC code to link to it on Flickr's site. I would start hosting your photos on another site like Tinypic or Imageshack. I'm about to start a project where I reload my full-size / original photo library on one. Lot of work, but will be glad once it's done.
I thought that may be the case. Definitely is BS, but that is probably down to Yahoo as the owners! I do enjoy Flickr's service and I'm a bit lazy to upload my photos to another site purely for this thread. Will see what I can do
^ Yes, not surprising as Yahoo is one of the worst managed companies in tech. Here's one that'll be familiar to you, Ben. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm not sure this is purely a Flickr issue; whilst it's true that Flickr don't allow hotlinking as part of there T&Cs it is possible to do (although they may eventually block sites where it occurs frequently), FChat, IIRC, don't allow inline images so using the BB Code for the IMG tags won't work here like it does on other sites; you have to attach the image. You can do this by looking at the All Sizes page in Flickr, select the size you want and right click to grab the image URL, which will be something like http://farm8.staticflickr.com/xxxxxxxxx. You can then attach this to a message using the Manage Attachments/Upload File from a URL on FChat. It's how I've done it previously to upload from Flickr.
Didn't realize that. Thanks for the tip. I can confirm it works b/c I just used your method to link to this attached pic of my bike, but with one modification. The URL that I copied directly from the picture didn't work. I had to go from this: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2650/4176511802_906901d0a1_z.jpg?zz=1 to this: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2650/4176511802_906901d0a1_z.jpg to get it to work. It certainly does look familiar. Gyeongbukgung in Seoul? Like the shot of the bike and I'll have to try that same technique next time I post something from Flickr.
A quick one from my hotel room balcony in Greenwich, can't wait to see this place in the daylight. Image Unavailable, Please Login

So I finally worked out how to attach Flickr photos, but it turns out I've already filled my attachment quotas with shots posted back in 2005/06! Apparently I have to subscribe to add more photos, but seen as I only really use this thread these days, I've decided to stick with my old method of linking shots Rush Hour. by v15ben, on Flickr
For my wife's birthday on June 2, we have traditionally spent the weekend at the nicest hotel in Chihuahua, Mexico, Hotel Soberano. They have a wonderful infinity pool overlooking the city of Chihuahua. You can not hear the gun shots from here, so it is a really great quiet weekend: Image Unavailable, Please Login
So I was hired by the local newspaper to take some pics of various "events" tonight I'll post a few tomorrow
