A few times while backing over the curb on my driveway I've heard a metallic "pop!" from what seems like the roof or trunk area (behind me). It occurs right at the moment when the car would flex as the right rear wheel goe over the curb. It only seems to happen with the roof up. Is this normal? Roof works fine, no wind noise or anything. Car is due for its first service so I'll ask Ferrari of Denver when I take it in...just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced thsi.

Known problem. Roof needs realignment. See some of my previous posts. The post contains a copy of my work order which you can present to your dealer. Wonderful car with some minor adjustments needed from time to time. Also the first gen chassis is a little more compliant and so the car does flex. The Cali 30 apparently eliminates this. I'll let you know in a few months.

I think there is a service bulletin on that. Last time my car went in for service they said something about adjusting the roof mech per a recent bulletin.

Starting to have same issues all over again....slight rattle, roof failure raising the roof last nightbwhere the right window didn't line up. I really don't know why this keeps happening. I was able to get it to work again. My hope is to get through the rest of the summer as is and deal with it in the fall.

Personally I could live with the occasional "pop" from the roof backing out the driveway. But will it progress to more significant problems if I don't get the TSB realignment done? I put the top up/down once a day (driving almost daily thus far).

Can somebody shed some light on this TSB? I wasn't aware of it. Want to know if it covers 2010s, and which VINs. By the way, some creaking when twisting the car is always going to be normal. I have to tackle a steep driveway sideways (no way car would clear at a straight angle), and car always creaks in protest. If car is built well, it shouldn't affect anything. Crossing fingers that's the case :D.

I just got my 2012 Cali and same sound when I hit bumps. Going back to dealer this weekend for repairs.

I have not experienced this issue on my 2010 but I lower the roof in the garage before I reverse. I will listen for it next time I drive with roof up.

I just started to notice the same thing over this past weekend. Slight rattle and the popping sound. Will have it addressed the next time the car goes in for service.

Greypaul Nottingham fixed my roof last service

It was perfect for 48 hours

Pops and rattle came back again unfortunately

But at least the beeping noise hasn't returned

    Webasto make the roof

It's been a problem for many on here

There is also a clunk from the handbrake cable that is a known noise, I have that and reported it last service

Grey Paul nottingham didn't attempt to fix that, they said they couldn't hear it :)

Sometimes I wonder why owners on here know more about service bulletins than the service staff at the dealers

But I still love the car :)

I looked at the service invoice and the relevant part of it said:

I'm guessing RHT means roof hard top. I have no idea what the actual check consisted of.
