I am looking for a low miles 575M. Prefer gated shifter with the GTC Package. please let me know if any leads. Prefer red or yellow. thanks John
if you find a low mile 575 with gated shifter and HGTC package...next thing you should do is buy a lottery ticket cause you'd be one lucky guy to find that. gated hard to find...HGTC much harder...both together = unicorn
John The HGTC has a significantly improved F1-system so I would consider an F1 (besides it would be nearly impossible to find a gated HGTC as p1turbo stated). Best is if you find a HGTC that came with the HGTC package right from the factory. If the HGTC has been retro fitted be sure that it contains all elements: - CCM brakes with 19 inch rims - stiffer springs and stronger anti roll bar - better F1-system (software) - improved steering (ECU and steering position sensor) - better sounding exhaust Below is the description of the HGTC package. The HGTC is such an improvement over the standard 575M I could not go back. Best of luck with the search. Markus Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Posting a couple pics to support the claim. Believe there are a few on this forum that know more of this car. It was located in the north east when these pics were taken. Fully optioned car, last changed hands around 3 or 4 years ago, maybe more. Bill FL Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
can't see the exhaust...but look like steel rotors to me. sure that's a unicorn? if so...maybe they do exist. good luck finding one in real life.
I drove a 575M HGTC with a stick - it was memorable to say the least. It was owned (still owned?) by a FerrariChat member in Kansas (thanks, Steve!) - he drove it all over the country, so I doubt he sold it or would ever sell it. But they're out there if you look hard enough - but most of them are being too enjoyed to ever be considered salable.
They are just not not out there. You could wait years for one to pop up and I would bet most are sold without even being put out there. Best bet is to buy something like this http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchDetails.aspx?itemid=1231107 Then I would upgrade to the hgtc suspension and ECU's.
There is also a 2004 low mile red 575M gated shifter at Ferrari of Newport Beach. However, I believe that it does not have the HGTC package. Jes

ok bill...you win...you sure you didn't photoshop that... beautiful car. now find him another one... that's for sale i dare you. after watching the US 575 market for well over a year...only saw 3. red in scottsdale/nero at auto gallery/ nero at caulfield...all F1. think easier to find 3 pedal car...add hgtc aftermarket items...wtf...it's only money.
i sold my 599 gtb today. looking for a 575m.. i can wait. i waited five years till i bought a 1995 F512M... Which I should have kept.
I can attest to it's authenticity as it was the first 575 I looked at when I began my search. I was a fool for letting it go for a few more bucks than I wanted to spend. After I bought my 575 HGTC from FOSV, I received a pm from another fchatter who bought this car. I believe it resides in Greenwich CT based on our chats but I have never seen it on the road.
P1, wasn't trying to win. I agree with yours and everyone's comments. Nearly impossible to find. Just posting that I'd seen one. I looked for years and regret passing on LarryF's F1 because of color. Rookie mistake on my part. Little time for indecision when one pops. Bill Fl
larryf....actually make that 4 HGTC in a little over a year...believe yours' was grigio titanium/nero?...great looking car. bill...thx for showing the unicorn...
i have the unicorn. its still in NY on long island. i've toyed with the idea of selling it b/c of a growing family, but a couple of recent road trips have me enjoying it more every drive.
fc_11 cruel and unusual punishment... announcing you the unicorn...*thinking* about selling it....but not ready cause when you drive it...it's the best. enjoy.
Markus, Very good info, thanks. Rookie question: what is the approximate cost of an after market HGTC installed? Just ballpark.
I am still in the hunt for a 575M . So far high miles on the ones i have found.. anyone know of a low miles 575m please let me know. john
If so, as others have already said - I think the car you are looking for will almost never show up for sale. Even if it does, it would most likely be a private transaction as all those criteria (575 gated/HGTC/low miles). Good luck on the search though - if you ease your requirement on the gated or HGTC you should be able to find a car in a reasonable time frame.
Philippe I dont have exact prices but some rough figures: - The most expensive parts are the CCM brakes which are around CHF 20K which is about the equivalent of $ 20K in the US. - Second expensive parts are the rims which would be another $ 10K plus tires. If you have the CCM brakes you need the 19 rims because the CCM brakes would not fit the 18 rims. - Springs and anti roll bar are not too much. I guess around $ 5K including labor. - I have no idea about the exhaust. I guess another $ 5K to $ 8K. - No idea about the steering ECU und F1 ECU but I guess these should be affordable (in the range of some thousand dollars). If you add up all these items you get close to $ 50K which is a lot of money. If I had to choose my priority would be as following: 1. F1 ECU 2. Exhaust 3. Springs and anti roll bar 4. Steering ECU 5. 19 rims 6. CCM brakes This is just my personal opinion based on 25 000 km on a standard 575M and 5 000 km on a HGTC. Markus
Guys I think Ferrari has a retro fit HGTC package in vicinity of $30-35kUS. Some where here in one of Taz's old threads there are more details. Also standard 19 inch modulars will not fit over HGTC brakes up front. It is same wheel looks wise, different part number though. Bill FL
Wow! Sticker shock indeed! Thanks a lot anyway. It would probably be significantly less expensive to find one originally equipped with it. Nice chatting with Switzerland: was born and raised in French Alps so you are not too far away.
