Did anyone else miss 22 laps stating at lap 15 and then picking up on lap 37?

Was that when they ran 42 commercials and 14 promo's of upcoming Fox shows?

    Fox F1 BLOWS.

Last race they went to 10 minutes of commercials after the start they missed about 5 laps. It wouldn't surprise me of they did. Fox has the worse F1 coverage. F1 highlights brought to you by Fox sunday night baseball and bobs burgers

I'm not complaining. Speed has just as many commercials except they are all for GoDaddy.

Looked like the normal Speed coverage to me, just on a channel with bigger audiences. That's a good thing.

Unfortunately Speed is Fox, so what the hell can we expect? But yes, the latter is even worse to me as well.

I think it was edited to fit the 2 hour slot. That's where the lost laps went.

    Speaking of broadcasts...

Does F1 ever fine Ferrari for using Italian on their team radio broadcasts? I thought English over the radio was some sort of rule. I do kinda admire their "so what, we're going to speak Italian" attitude... but still. Doesn't really help the commentators much to air those.

Fox coverage is terrible. Watch it on Sky or don't watch it at all.

Credit where credit is due. Fox did a much better job this week than they did in Canada. There seemed to be fewer ad breaks.
Having said that F1 is not a mass market sport in this country and shouldn't be shoehorned into an edited, race delayed prime time slot on a major network.

Agreed. Live and on Speed is much better.
Speed also covers the after race.

The Sky commentators mentioned the Italian language, but basically said they are not aware of any rules against it. I personally, don't see a need to force a "spec language" in F1. I think that F1 already has enough overregulation issues anyway.

Like it or not it's a rule. The question is it a rule for everyone?

I did not know that and apparently the Sky commentators didn't either.
So is there a penalty for braking it and what is it?
If it is just monetary fine, then I can see how a team can see an advantage worth a couple of grand.
Italian should not be that bad, but I can see the commentators completely blanking if Sauber exchange messages in Zurich Dutch (spelling?)

The Italians were just relapsing to the native tongue out of exuberance.
    As to the Swiss...
Well they make the Finns look giddy.

Well, I'm happy to help them with Zurich Deutsch or as they say Zueri Duetsch.

I watched the race on SKY. It was so exciting. Then, I re-watched the race on FOX. The commercials killed it! I have cable, and have to watch FOX with commercials - aaarrgh!

Yeah I also lost 22 laps. What television provider do you have? I use Directv and i'm wondering if the problem was with them or their DVR (I recorded it) or with Fox itself.

Can't wait until the races are back on Speed. I don't care what anyone says Speed's coverage is far superior to their mother channel Fox. It's even worse when Leigh Giffey is doing the commentating, ugggh he's awful.

They did it in Montreal too. Maybe they get exuberant more easily than the others.
