Not all of us have cable, I dropped mine years ago. Sucks not having during F1 season but couldn't justify what Charter was charging me for lackluster channels with pathetic programming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Was that ever in doubt? When a Macca wins to the mechanics sing along when they play God Save The Queen?
Just wait for the Fox broadcast when the Weehawken GP debuts. The execs at Fox can't wait. Imagine what the broadcast will be like when the majority of viewers will be the United States' best Sunday afternoon couch potatoes all tuning in to the USGP...
I beg to differ. I'd much rather have Leigh Diffey than Varsha!...... Having said that, if you really want decent coverage, the BBC and/or Sky can't be beat IMO. If Speed were my only option, I'd have DVR'd it and watched it at a sensible time. But now I get the Sky feed it's worth getting up at an ungodly hour. Cheers, Ian
Actually I'm already concerned about that broadcast: If anything remotely newsworthy happens that afternoon (like eg Danica mowing her lawn) they will interrupt that program.
BBC and Sky are not an option where I am or I would gladly switch. As for Giffey vs Varsha, I could't disagree more. Giffey's screeching attempts to 'manufacture' excitement at the end of the race when Hamilton was clearly NOT catching Alonso was embarrassing. I half expected him to start shouting "Boogity, boogity, boogity, let's go racing boys!" it was so nonsensical. As for Speed, I do think they do a reasonable job given their low budget, but when they have to broadcast through Fox it loses a lot of the details as they dumb it down for the mainstream American audience. I do miss the days when I lived in England in the 90s and got to listen to Murray Walker and Martin Brundle on BBC/ITV.
Now that's code. As the patient said when told he failed the ink blot test. "but doc, they're your dirty pictures"
Hell, yeah! The one day of the week "most" folk get to stay in bed IME! Back in the dark ages, may as well stay in bed too - The friggin' pub didn't open till noon! And then threw out at 2pm! [Reopen at 7:30pm, shut at 10:30 btw!] [Supposedly, we all went to church prior to the pub on Sunday, and "they" didn't want any conflicts..... ] Cheers, Ian
Indeed; But workdays gave us 10:30am to 2:30pm and 6pm to 11pm. It was only Sundays they didn't open till noon! The only day when the "workers" could realistically enjoy a beer!.... Cheers, Ian
DISH provided normal coverage sans pre race show with a 2PM start ( delayed ) through the local FOX affiliate... appeared to be normal non SPEED fare... I checked my recording...no laps were missing except about 2 laps for each commercial break... seems like someone is messing with your local feeds
Well, I probably exaggerated since Glenn was a Saint, but all the others saw nothing but (rhimes with glitz) in them.
Thanks! I'm guessing it's either Directv's feed or it was the feed to my DVR box, the fact that someone else had a problem at least indicates it wasn't a hardware issue.
