Congrats. Love that yellow. Am I the only one here dying to drive that with the hand controls?
Just received the F-Chat newsletter and did not even see this thread till then. VERY inspiring story. Congrats on your car and good luck with it.
I've always wondered one thing: If the police suspect you're drunk driving, how do they administer the drunk driving test? I had a buddy in high school who broke his neck while motocrossing and he used to drive a van with only his arms, which were partially paralyzed, and he used to smoke pot while driving. It's amazing what some people can do.
It is nice to read such a story, makes for great example of how "life is what you make of it!" Well done and I hope you love your F-car as much as all of us!
Waouh. This is nice indeed ! I was in a Ferrari meeting in France some weeks ago. The guy that drove fastest on the small track that was arranged was also a paralyzed man (legs). Every body was very surprised and proud of him. He was driving a Modena. So, enjoy your fantastic F355, which is one of the most fantastic road Ferrari (engine sound...). I am personnally looking for one Ferrari, but a "small" 328 GTB.
I know I'm years late but I just showed the pics to my son who is paralyzed from the knees down to provide him with inspiration to shoot for the stars. Thanks for posting!
I'm glad this thread was revived. What an amazing story. Its great to see that you overcame life's seemingly impossible obstacles. You're an inspiration to many!
Indeed. Inspirational to say the least. I applaud your positive attitude and wish you and family the best. Your car looks great.
Congrats on the 355! Nice to have another Ferrari in the area. If you ever want to go for a drive, look me up. I am in White Lake. Jeff
Congrats mate!!!!!! My old neighbour was in the same situation as you. He got t-boned by a car while he was riding his bike to work, and is now paralized from his waist down. Finally after a few years he bought a 1992 Porsche 911 (his dream car) and also has the same handles as you have. Honestly, total respect to you guys!!!!!!
You've got my respect my man......I'll never complain about my back/ legs/feet being tired ever again. Again.....Respect. Geffen
I would LOVE to see a video if the car being driven through the canyons, with a split image of the controls being operated. That would be so awesome.
I remember this thread well. What is crazy is that I was thinking about this just the other day and now the thread gets revived! Great story!
