Hello all. I am looking to replace my boot cover for my Mondial t. I have several questions for the Ferrari Chat members. There are several after market companies that offer boot cover products. I have what I presume is the standard tan leather interior with matching leather boot. My boot is a bit weathered and is not as pliable as I would like. It is a bit of a task to secure the fasteners, hence I am looking to replace the boot cover.

The companies on the web which appear to offer replacement products are: GAHH Automotive which offers the cover for $1159; Convertible Top Guys which offers the cover for $750; and Italian Car Parts which offers the cover for $1345. I am not as concerned about the price as I am the quality of the product. Any one have any experience with any of these products?

Also, the colors offered are a bit confusing as to the proper color to match my existing boot cover. It appears that "saddle" is the color, yet, GAHH has a "Saddle" and Saddle II color offered. Conversely, Convertible Top Guys offers a "Saddle" and "Tan" color choice. Does anyone know if the boot cover for the Mondial t is a particular designated color?

    Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

I should add that I did a search and most of the info is a bit dated, hence, I am looking for current opinions on boot covers. Thanks

Let me add a 4th option for your consideration and input: Rich and Famous Auto Tops, $600 for the leather boot.

The only data I have is that the GAHH convertible top on my car looks very much like the original except for the horse pressed in the rear window. Interior liner, everything is great, I trust them.

Color will be tough. Sun fading does much more to these cars than we realize. If your map pocket is the same as mine pull it out a bit and see if the color is the same above and below where it is covered.

I'm not good with the various color interiors, but if you post a picture I'm sure you'll get some opinions.

There is always the leatherique treatment to soften up the leather a bit, and I try to warm my top cover up before install, makes it much easier. I either let it sit in the sun for a bit or drive the car with the cover in the trunk. Much easier to install, but I know mine is a bit too tight as well even after these efforts.

Mike's cover looks great. For $400 I would definitely go that route. Of course our OEM boot has no padding left as it completely disintegrated.

It's funny how things go.....I was looking at my boot and I was wondering if it would be a good time to get it replaced. The foam,if not secured (boot) blinds us when we drive and it looks like time has taken its toll.

I probably could tough it out, but I too am looking to replace it soon. The only thing is I got the Grigio ( grey) color. I hope I can find a suitable replacement.

    Hi Lino,

The grey boot cover is rare, if yours isn't too bad top leather wise, maybe you can find an upholstery shop that can sew you a new back lining to encapsulate the dust that seems to have been deteriorated padding. just a thought!

    cheers buddy!

Good idea. Leatherique is great stuff.

I wonder if any of these aftermarket suppliers could/would insert the original horsie window back in the top to keep it more original looking. Anyone know?
