I don't think it has to do with the shape of the car at all: if red, yellow, blue, grey, black and white go well with the 458 shape in all variations of pastels, metallics, pearls and mattes, then you can't really say this green doesn't suit the shape of the car. It is just not a historic or fashion Ferrari colour and that is enough for most not to like it, even if subconsciously. I don't think it looks half bad, sure unlikely to be my choice but I compare it to yellow, which is a bold choice IMO, not much a car colour, however it's kind of historic and well considered among the Ferrari community.

Someone didn't have to worry about resale. Good for him.

I also agree with a previous poster that something like British Racing green or a similar dark shade with a cuoio or beige interior might look really good on the 458. But you never see that.

Love it. I think the Porsche solid green would be cool too.

The only way that color will work on that car (in my opinion) is to accent the car with strips or some sort of pin strip to move your eyes away from all that green. However, the green looks better on the convertible/targa rather than the coupe.

+1. Not my choice but I think it does look better than expected. Certainly don't hate it.

The video was shot at Ferrari of New England. I hope to see the car around sometime.

Agree...it's a Lambo color. Ferrari, to me, is understated performance and elegant styling as represented in the 458.

I really like the color...but then again I had a VW GTi about a dozen years ago in a similar color, VW called it Rave Green.
