    Hey guys,
My name is Nick and I live in Oakville, Ontario. I started collecting 1:18 diecast models and I only know a few stores in the GTA area that sell diecast. I go to Car Buffs in square one but that store isn't there any more for some reason. The other store I got to is one in Yorkville but it is pretty expensive. Do you guys know of any others? I'd be grateful if you guys could help me find other stores with great prices and selection.
    Cheers!
    Nick

Hello Nick, Well most of my 300+ F-car 1:18 collection which inclueds F1 and road cars came from Replicarz‏.com and ebay. I've been collecting close to 10 years now and I found out that you need to be patient and don't jump into models with high price tags unless it's a RARE or very hard to find, limited Ed. model in which you don't have a choice... unless you can live without and not add it to your collection which is almost impossible to do. :)

There is another place in Yorkville, Prestige Auto Art, just down the street from the Collector Studio.

I usually go to Minigrid on Mount Pleasant (south of Eglinton).

There is also Toronto Motorsports on Port Union road in the east end. And on the corner of Jane and Hwy 7 there is a smoke shop with a bunch of 1:18 and 1:43 models.

Prestige is no longer on Yorkville.

I haven't been down there in a while (years?). Looks like they moved to 890 Yonge Street (Davenport and Yonge St)

Yes, Joe from Prestige has moved out of Yorkville and down to Yonge st...

The smoke shop on Jane/Hwy 7 is called Master Convienence, they have a pretty nifty selection of Hot Wheels Elite, and some Exoto 1/18. I will often find some good random cars in that place.

There used to be F1 Motorsports on Dufferin/Orfus rd in Toronto, (owner Carlos?) who then moved up to Woodbridge. THey are no longer there either, I wonder what happened to them as I remember he had a very successful F1 memorabilia shop and sold quite a large number of 1/18 models too.

I buy most of my Exoto and Minichamp 1/18's from EBAY now...there is no other place on earth or internet where you can find the oddest and rarest of models.

Sadly, there are no good places in Toronto to get cool car stuff.
